The cord was too short to mount at the rear roof of my SUV, so I had to order a PL-259 Male to SO-239 Female cord to wire up the CB at the front. SWR at Ch 1 is around 1, 1.5 at Ch 40, and around 1 at Ch 19. Connections at PL259/SO239 are snug without issues. Receive seems good so far, but very condition dependent. I ran my usual course in the city where I do my GMRS tests and got the typical 1/2 mile to 1 mile range Ive read from other reviews. Ill reserve judgment on range until after I get some interstate miles on this one. I mounted the antenna at the back right corner of my Jeep Liberty. The magnet is very strong and can be difficult to remove, but thats a good thing. I was worried about how loose the antenna might be at the swivel point, but there are rigid lock points that hopefully wont wear out over time. The height should be fine, but I am going to watch it around low limbs and parking garages. Im satisfied so far, except for the cable length issue.

1:1 to 1:5 on trunk. 1:1 to 1:3 on roof, channels one/twenty/forty (best readings on roof, course). Receiving appears to be equal to my Firestik Firely three foot and four foot, even in dense forested hills and valleys PLUS with the Fireflys I can’t achieve anywhere near the SWR of the New Virginia. Transmission performance not certain as yet but priority is monitoring. After five months (paired with both Presidents Bill 1 and 2) been very pleased.

Looks like it belongs on the vehicle. Could have a longer coax but it’s just enough for a 2018 Subaru Outback

This antenna was the answer I needed for mounting a CB antenna on a newer SUV. The appearance is clean - not gawdy or obtrusive. The magnet is strong, and the antenna angle is somewhat adjustable. The antenna comes pre-tuned, which I confirmed with a SWR meter. This is a great option for a magnetic mount CB antenna!

I was looking for an antenna that didn’t look out of place on my equinox. This antenna doesn’t draw attention and gets descent reception

The only complaint is the cable is to short. Installed on the roof of an 2006 Toyota Tundra

Tested swr and was perfect. Drove around and was receiving single from other stats so can on guess skip was happening as I couldn’t really talk back with my little basic CB
