Perfect fit, 2 minute installation!

I was disappointed that 1 of the pair of struts was defective. I kept the order because I had 1 original working but I had hoped for 2 good working struts. I changed my review because after sending back the items via UPS which was relatively easy, I got 2 very good struts finally. Giving them 4 stars because of the speed of trying to resolve the issue.

Replacement to factory light. Came as primer grey, which I suppose makes sense, since there could be dozens of colors from the factory. Option for 2-3 colors might be nice next time around. Off the shelf black satin spray paint seemed to work pretty well.

Good quality replacement hood struts. Arrived quickly and well packaged. Took less that 1 minute each to install. Look and function as OEM at one forth the price.

These were easy to install and seem high quality for the money. I have only had them in for a few weeks, but no problems so far.

Right size. Good lift. Of course it is brand new but I can lift the hood with one finger. Just glad I don’t have to use vice grips any more on the old cylinders anymore. The 4 stars for installation is Acura engineerings fault. Not this manufacturer. Also had to tighten each end a little Clockwise. It came in a sealed bag so they won’t go anywhere in shipping. It’s a little noisy but what Cylindar isn’t.

Very simple to install and cant beat the price!

We have a 2010 Acura MDX and the hood would no longer stay open. The hardest part was understanding that you need a smallish flathead screwdriver to release the retainer spring clips on the old struts. Pry up the clip and pop off each end while having someone holding the hood up. Then the new strut just snaps right in. As soon as you replace one strut, that’s enough to keep the hood up.
