These hood struts were an exact plug and play replacement for my worn out hood struts on my 2012 Acura MDX. Installation was very simple and took a total of about 5 minutes. The struts are working great!!

such an easy repair for my 13y old MDX. I had been using an empty trash can to prop open the hood since the OE equipment had given up the ghost. took like 8 minutes to remove the old ones and pop in the new ones. I did have to spend some time realigning the metal clamp bands on one of the shocks because i tried to install it wrong, but that was on me and not the product.

Ive only had them for a month but so cant speak to longevity of product but so far works great.

I forgot I had replaced them and the hood opened up quickly without me having to lift it. Very satisfied.

The originals on my Acura mdx obviously gave out. These were a perfect replacement and extremely simple to install

Installation was a breeze, I couldve installed just one strut as it was strong enough alone to raise and keep my heavy hood by itself. These struts and the supplier are superb.

I was skeptical about these since I ordered a set from someplace else and were not even close to being right got these mounted fast and easy even had the slight bend at top mount like Acura factory hold good in extremely windy weather no issues HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Easy to install and they seem to function properly. There are less expensive options, but several more expensive options also. I think these check all the boxes at the right price point. Good buy if you need them!

Good but not great. These are nice struts for the money. The metal clips will slide which makes installation a little more challenging. The original struts were a little nicer. Good for the price though.
