After viewing a variety of similar, but not even close in design, devices for use when soldering, I decided to buy this as it seemed like the most useful, best thought-out, versatile design and after just one use soldering very small wires I knew I had made the right choice! The two different heights for the alligator clips gives this a really practical versatility that isnt available in any other design. Then add to that the solid, nicely-weighted yellow base to which each of the four solidly-built, goose-neck, magnetic-based arms can be placed allowing them infinite placement in any configuration needed and this becomes the best choice for holding small parts/items for soldering, gluing, detail painting, and the list goes on. Look past the higher price compared to other designs because this is worth every penny! I took the offer included with the item when it arrived to get free silicone sleeves to cover the teeth of the alligator clips to protect delicate items and I was contacted within an hour that they would be sent immediately. Great customer service on top of a great design and construction! It also collapses and stores compactly in the box it arrived in making it easy to store between projects.

Excellent, extremely useful product for soldering, assembly of small electronics, etc.

Needed it for one project so far, seems to do the job, much better quality than anything I owned before, only complaint is lighting is not as bright as I would like but next time I due a project Ill try some different ideas. but overall great quality for the price and as they increase different items that they manufacture I will seriously consider them first, in this day and age its hard to find dedication to quality before profit.

It’s not cheap but I’m so happy I bought this. I got the magnetic version because I want to be able to store it away compactly. It also helps to be able to move the arms around to adjust for different needs. The fit and finish of everything is perfect. The base plate is heavy and thick, and very nice to work with. My only gripe is with the grippers. They don’t open very wide which is not a problem for most of the things I work with but some things, like XT-60 connectors, are very awkward indeed. I bet I can find other grips that I can interchange. Wish I hade this product 15 years ago. Very happy customer.

Heavy quality. Insanely well built. Came with rubber slips on the roach clips which is ideal for working with bread boards.

If youre even thinking about buying this, then you should stop now and do it. Youll love it and itll be in your toolkit for decades to come.
