I used these for many years, work great and you dont need to worry about the chain jumping off.

I went from a 32T version of this to a 36T for when I am on the trainer during the winter. Absolutely no problem with the install and was quite happy with the product while riding indoors. Took it outside for the first time on a warm winter day and threw a chain into the spokes off the back. One hard pedal stroke and the chain ring was demolished. Ended up with some deep cuts in my frame from the bent ring. I am not a power rider and can only put down about 400 watts at my best, so definitely looking at product failure. I will go back to my 32T now that the weather is warming, but dont think I will be replacing the trashed ring.

This gear is made of a high quality aluminum and precisely machined. The narrow wide tooth pattern seems to work for holding the chain on my drivetrain, my chain has not dropped since I have changed to this gear. I do mostly downhill single track and have put this chain ring through its paces. It fit perfectly, performed perfectly. Raceface always delivers.
