RaceFace 104mm Single Chain Ring

> 3 dayThis by far is the best thing I could have done to my mtb. I converted to a 1x10 from stock components. The Race Face sprocket fit with no problems and all the stock hardware. If you are considering a 1x9/10/11 conversion, just do it.....

> 3 dayAwesome for doing 1x conversions without spending a fortune! This ring just plain hangs onto a chain. I simply pulled my FSA Afterburner crank, removed all three chainrings, and bolted this on (youll need new chainring bolts for a single). No bash guard, no clutch-style derailleur, no chain guide. Rode the begeezus out of it, never dropped the chain. Boom.

> 3 dayThis is one of the few things that live up to the hype. If youre just starting MTB and you dont have your fitness up, this probably isnt for you. Enjoy your 3x or 2x setup for a while. I knocked off about 700 grams from my bike including the front derailleur, shifter, cables, housings and additional chain rings. Ive had zero dropped chains in 300 miles of riding when used with an xt rear derailleur. Ive ridden everything from the full enchilada in moab to my local flow trails and loved every minute of it. All my bikes now have one of these. Beginning of the season Im running a 32 on my 29er then switch it for a 34 later in the year. Most folks would feel most comfortable with a 30t on a 29er. Im also using a wolftooth 42t cog on my rear cassette for the additional granny gear. Dont use it much, but when I do its nice to have. Lets me run a bigger front cog for the top end.

Greater than one weekFirst of all, this is the Narrow/Wide chainring that has tooth profiles that mimic the SRAM XX1 stuff - made to retain your chain. I bought one of these when they were first released and have been putting it through the ringer on the trails of the Wasatch. I couldnt be any happier with this product. The price is better than the competition and the design works great. I have yet to loose my chain while running this ring and my Shimano Zee 10 speed rear derailleur. Not only is the chain retention flawless without any sort of chain guide, it runs very silently too. If you are looking to convert your drivetrain to a 1x set-up, do not hesitate to get one of these.

Greater than one weekGreat value, high quality product by raceface. Ive been using 1x9, 10 with 41t biggest cog. This will help my low gear on long climbs in Tahoe.
