> 24 hourMy original Escort hardwire failed. Why, I dont know. I thought the radar detector itself died, but when I plugged in the coiled cord, it worked fine. I bought this straight wire replacement (cheaper than Escorts hardwire kit and better constructed) and replaced the existing with this one. No issues. Very pleased.
