Im really happy with my Ram mount. I bought this along with a 2 1/2 base and universal depth finder mount. Its a great system that I highly recommend. Construction is rock solid and the mount is very strong. The ability to have infinite adjustments is really handy. Its easier to hook up wires and you can adjust to the perfect viewing angle no matter where youre sitting. Really easy to remove too. Everything is done with just one larger wing nut.

Mostly metal and attaches to a 1 1/2 inch ball at both ends. A little heavy but I like it that way. This will not break. The handle on the side tightens very well and will keep your fish finder in any position you put it in. I like the long arm better. I can swing it right behind my steering wheel on my boat. You can purchase the base with a 1 1/2 inch ball also. Base did not come with any hardware. I bought a second one after installing the first. This is heavy duty.
