> 3 dayThe kit included all the tools needed, but the instructions were inadequate. The paper instructions contain important recommendations (especially about the care needed to remove the home button), but lacked the details needed to complete the repair. To compensate, they included a card that directs you to their website to find links to YouTube installation guides. There I was directed to three guide videos. I chose the first one listed. Big mistake. From almost start, my experience differed from the video. My screen didn’t simply lift off in one piece, it cracked into small pieces along the edges and in each corner as I tried the insert the wedge. These pieces stuck to the frame, and more importantly, to the ribbon connectors attached to the screen…and particularly all around the home button assembly. In the process of trying to remove the pieces, the button separated from its support frame and one of the tiny black support pads peeled off the frame, remained stuck to the collection of black glass shards and adhesive, and was lost. My home button now does not work properly. I recommend you read the installation hints in the box and watch ALL three of the YouTube videos. I learned a lot thru trial and error and actually think I could now do this repair perfectly. I bought this $65 kit because I was worried that, despite their favorite ratings, the <$30 ones would be inferior quality. But, now that I may damage the new screen when I remove it to install a new home button, I’m buying one of the less expensive kits as a backup,

> 3 dayI am a retired IT pro of many decades and have repaired laptop and cell phone screens in the past so thought this would be a cakewalk. Not so. Its a very laborious, fine detail-oriented process that is not guaranteed to work. I was VERY careful to follow the instructions to the T, however after about 4 hours of putzing with the connectors and testing I could not get the screen to properly calibrate. The problem seems to be with the press-on connectors that take the signal from screen to processor. Its very hard to tell if they are seated properly, and to keep them seated during re-assembly. This may be an issue with every one of these kits, or at least for people that dont do it regularly. After that much time I decided it was worth it to just toss the old one and buy a good used one from Gazelle. It was worth the cost to give it a try but just be forewarned.

> 3 dayIt took me a few (3 ish) hours to get this accomplished but I took my time and had an issue figuring out my new home button I had to install. This is definitely not a 1 hour project in my opinion unless youre a pro. First off, Im not an overly techy person but I can be handy so for $60 vs. $300...it was worth a try. Worst case scenario, Id be spending $400 for a new IPad. Best case scenario, I saved a ton of money and learned a new skill. I do recommend watching a couple YouTube videos first before ordering and I personally watched the video AS I did the install. It helped me to visualize what to do. You Do need to be EXTREMELY careful around the right mid-lower side of your iPad. I messed up during screen removal and damaged my home button cable and had to spend an additional $10 plus lost my Touch ID capabilities by not reusing my original. With the amount of damage I had, I personally may not have been able to prevent the damage. So far quality seems about the same as my OEM, BUT I immediately put a tempered glass on as an extra layer of protection that I typically have on it but didnt when my daughter stepped on my original screen. Adhesion so far is holding appropriately.

Greater than one weekso glad I bought this and did it myself! kit comes with everything you need (besides a heat gun), i watched a youtube video to help me do it. I wish i would have cleaned the screen prior to sticking it down but thats a user error. Super impressed my ipad works perfect after sitting around for months untouched.

> 3 dayThe tool that is used to remove screws didn’t work so therefore still have to take it to a professional to have fixed which costed an additional $100.00!

> 3 dayBroke easily when I went to grab it from my son. I researched every other one on Amazon before choosing this one. My mistake to think more expensive meant higher quality.
