Rode PSA1

Par contre, un prix un peu cher. Incontournable avec un micro Rode ceci dit. Et dommage quils ne le fassent quen noir.

Having tried a few cheaper versions I decided to try this more solid well reviewed item, glad I did. No ugly springs showing, smooth quiet movement, with a little adjustment you can place it wherever you need the mic to be and easily push it away when not in use. Solid and neat desk clamp although once I am 100% happy with the placement I will drill my desk and use the through desk fitting as this seems neater and the spigot fits better

I got this to pair up with a Blue Yeti Nano, that I had been using with the base desk mount. Upon getting the PSA1 mounted to my desk, I found that the microphone doesnt have enough weight to keep the boom arm down. Fortunately, if you tighten up the end pivot, this fixes the problem.

Very disappointed! I will say this arm worked great initially for my son’s Razer mic, however, after only 2 months of use last night it snapped somehow when my son was moving the arm down and the metal hook came out and bent! See picture. I’m not even sure how this happened with normal use?! And can it be fixed?

I’ve had this mic arm almost a year. Works well, prevents the thud sound from Blue Yeti being on desk. I did have an issue with the mount when my desk had a thick rim, it wouldn’t fit but since swapping desks it has been awesome.

These boom arms do the trick and work as advertised. Im using them with Rode Procaster mics. The only part I dont like is the actual adjustment mechanism where the mic attaches. It doesnt seems to work well in terms of tightening and adjustment (on both arms). The arms themselves work well and the clamp has proven to have no issues (I was a bit worried based on other reviews Id read). Overall Id buy one again, but if they could fix the microphone attachment functionality these would be five star booms.
