> 3 dayUPDATE: I contacted the company about the issue and they offered to send a replacement 3 weeks later. After telling them about needing it for my daughter’s back issue, with school starting the next week, they got it to us by the next week. Most importantly, the bag came on time as promised, and every zipper, seam, buckle and all aspects of the bag were perfect. I’m grateful for the company’s thoughtfulness and the bag is exactly what we needed. Updating the review to 5 stars based on their helpfulness and new bag. Arrived with a rip in the back seam where the straps are held. Otherwise the bag was what I hoped for: sturdy zippers, large compartments, padded storage for large laptop and wheels. Sending back today and hoping my replacement is better. Will update this review when it arrives.

> 3 dayThis is my 2nd bag. I bought this one so, I have a spare when my first bag finally breaks. Right now it’s still holding up after several years of hard use but, I want to be sure I have the same one to replace it when the time comes.

> 3 dayI bought this bag to take on a 10 day trip to Europe. I took what I needed for about half of the time because I was able to do laundry about halfway through my trip. I really wanted something I could wheel as much as possible, but still had the option to carry when walking long distances or getting on and off congested transport. I also wanted a bag that would “count” as a carry on for my flights with British Airways, Air France, and Whizzair. This bag fit the sizing restrictions for all 3 airlines and I had no trouble loading it into the overhead bins. The bag rolled very smoothly in the various airports and train stations I travelled through and the wheels are still in great shape after 10 rigorous days of travel to 5 different cities. It did take some trial and error to get the strap length just right so they did not hurt my shoulders as the padding did leave a little bit to be desired, but I found a comfortable set up eventually. I did not use any packing cubes and I was able to pack a swimsuit, 6 pairs of socks, 6 boxers, 6 t-shirts, 4 pairs of shorts, and 3 pairs of jeans (I am 6’6,” so some pretty big pairs of jeans) all in the main compartment along with my quart size toiletry bag. In the compartment on top of the main one I put a pair of flip flops, a quart sized bag with electronics in it, a deflated, inflatable neck pillow, my iPad and my puffer jacket folded up into quarters along with a 25l soft backpack I used for day trips. I did not put much in the two smaller compartments on the front to prevent the possibility of pick pocketing as I carried this bag on public transport in some very busy cities. In the bottom compartment on the front I did put my passport inside the zipper pocket inside the compartment so it was packed behind 2 layers and I put my $5 sunglasses in the top outer compartment when I didn’t want them in my pocket. Overall, the size and weight of this bag worked perfectly for me and the wheels worked great! The handle felt sturdy and was long enough for me to pull even though I am pretty tall. Despite all I had packed, the bag was not bulging and was still pretty easy to zip up. I will be using this bag for all of my trips going forward as it still looks brand new! I even saw other travelers with this bag during my trip!

> 3 dayI purchased this rolling backpack for an upcoming international trip. I thought it was a great option for old city cobblestone streets, on and off trains, areas with a lot of steps, and just anywhere where you were unable to roll a suitcase. I’d rather carry on my back than by hand. I was a little concerned that the size wouldn’t work for a 9 day trip and even though I’ve not yet officially packed, I did test putting about 15 bulky sweaters in the main compartment and it zipped with no issue. Lots of additional spaces for my iPad, toiletries, and other extras including a water bottle holder. I tried out both the backpack and rolling options. The backpack straps are padded and comfortable. The wheels looks very solid as is the telescoping handle. Hasn’t been trip tested yet but so far, very pleased with my purchase.

> 3 dayI bought a different backpack from this company several months back. It was for my daughter as she headed into highschool. I was looking for something with a more durability than the bags Id bought in the past (the type of bag that falls apart in less that two years). It was an continues to be incredible. Not only is it durable, but the design, functionality and features are great. So, when it came time for me to get a bag that could serve as a travel carryon plus other uses, I went right back to Matein. I havent had this for very long so I cant yet attest to everything that I expect I will down the road, but I do recommend their products. They have a ton of options to choose from. If you take the time to look through what theyve got, Im certain youll be as satisfied as I am. PS - This is a US company (based in Colorado).

> 3 dayI purchased this rolling backpack for work primarily. It is perfect for all of my files, laptop, iPad with room to spare. I have not experience water issues so I have this feature 3 stars. Overall its great, I just wish the wheels were larger. I definitely recommend this item.

Greater than one weekThis backpack is perfect. My teen loves to always have art supplies and books on hand, but that stuff gets heavy! Now she can pack ALL the things and not hurt her back. This backpack has lots of compartments and sections so she can keep everything organized and easy to find. Best price for what we were looking for, and great quality. The adjustable handle is awesome because she’ll be able to keep using it comfortably as she grows.

Greater than one weekI dont usually do Amazon Product reviews for things I buy, but I bought this backpack after an expensive one gave out on me, and I have to say this bag is excellent. A great value. I always have VERY heavy loads in this backpack and the handles take. a beating as I drag it down airline ramp steps, etc. and supported only by the extension handle. Wheels are holding up brilliant as are the zippers. Lesser bags would have failed me already but this one, for the price is an EXCELLENT buy. An A+ recommendation. A great value. (Note: I gave it 5 for water resistance but I dont really know---its not my habit to get it very wet and even though I live in a country (Thailand) with monsoons, the bag hasnt gotten soaked yet and thats not my intention).
