> 3 dayThing worked like a dream and the performance in a pcie 3.0 slot is still great. Installed on a razer blade 15 2020 with rtx 2070 and it is such a notable improvement from stock in storage and in speed. It’s still a great value in comparison to my pm981a drives that I use in my desktop.

Greater than one weekWorks. Im not the one for tech specs. My PC is stupid fast and I always have room for new games. No cables for SSD. Thanks Sabrent.

> 3 dayBought this to upgrade my HP laptop which came with a 250 GB SSD. Installation was easy and rebooting and formatting was easy. Im no computer guru so I cant give you all kinds of specs on speed, temp, etc. All I know is my laptop seems to be a bit faster, runs cool, and I have 4X the storage that I had.

> 3 daySo far so good. I actually bought two. Sabrent seems to be an up & coming brand on the m.2 landscape.

Greater than one weekI purchases this originally to store a game library. It worked well for about a year but in august 2022 I started to have performance issues where it would slow down considerably. Worked with Sabrent support to rule out any software/pc issues and was approved for an RMA. Since September 2022, I’ve been waiting for a replacement without any details on an eta nor other options. It’s hard to make a recommendation given the lack of alternative options and ability to get a quick replacement. Disappointed in Sabrent and given how much was spent on a 4tb SSD, it’s hard to use them in the future.

03-04-2025Im always hesitant to review items, like this, so early after Ive received it. In the last week since I received this SSD, Ive put it through its paces and it handled quite well. I was going to get another 2TB Corsair MP600 for my PC, but since this one was on sale for about $80 off on cyber monday, I couldnt resist. I am not using this drive for the operating system, I am using my existing M.2 as a system drive, and this one is simply for adding extra data storage mostly for games; but also to free up room for media like music and movies. The install was extremely easy. (My Asus X570 required me to remove the M.2 heatsinks and the chipset cover, but thats more of a Motherboard issue). The bios recognized the new storage device immediately. I didnt even have to do anything in the bios, but your mileage may vary depending on bios. On the first boot, the operating system took an extremely long time to load, and Im not sure why, but it was only once. I think there was some initialization happening behind the scenes and I was stuck on a black screen for a few minutes. I just walked away from it and eventually came back to a windows 10 login screen. A note to Windows 10 users: If you are like me, and using this for extra storage and not your system drive, you will need to go into your disk manager and format this volume for use. It wont be available as a drive until you do. I measured the performance with Crystal Disk Mark and this drive performed about the same as my MP600. It did slightly better and slightly worse in some categories but overall the differences are so negligible that youd never notice it. If I recall, the MP600 seemed to do better in sequential writes and reads and this one did better in random writes and reads. Once again, the difference is so minimal that I think of them virtually the same. I moved all of my steam games to the new drives and it was so fast it moved my largest games in less than 90 seconds and the smaller games in about 30 seconds. At the moment, I could not be more pleased with this drive. I see the price has gone up since Cyber Monday, so its a bit of a tough sell at over $300, but if this ever goes on sale for less than $300 I would not hesitate to get another one.

Greater than one weekIm using this drive for large music sample libraries for music production. At 5000MB/s its faster than Gen 2 at 3500MB/s but not as fast as the Gen 4 version at 7000MB/s. I believe it was a good compromise of price vs performance sitting in the middle of the two. I have several other drives with large sample libraries. A couple of SATA SSDs, a 970 EVO M.2 @ 3500MB/s, and I really notice the difference with this drive over the 970. Sabrent wasnt on my radar until they came out with Gen 4 M.2 that was faster than Samsung. Providing it lasts for a while, Ill be very happy.

Greater than one weekAdvertised as 4.9GB/s Read and 3.5GB/s Write. This thing achieves almost 6GB/s read without cooling... just stop reading and add to cart.

> 3 dayThis drive is super fast, easy to install, and offers huge capacity. I used the free Acronis disk cloning software to move my Windows installation to the new drive, and it was so easy. Highly recommended.
