04-04-2025This SSD worked great for 10 months using Windows 10 and Windows 11. Then I installed the latest (optional) upgrade for Windows 11. The system destabilized (i.e. blue screen of death) within a half hour of normal operation. I removed the Sabrent SSD, and the computer operated normally after I installed a different SSD, and reinstalled a fresh operating system. Even worse, the system would not reboot if the Sabrent SSD was in any way connected to the computer (internal PCIE or external USB connection). I cleaned the contacts with isopropyl alcohol and still no luck. I tried one more trouble shooting routine before initiating an Amazon return. I booted the computer with a different SSD and attached the malfunctioning Sabrent SSD to the computer using an external USB mounting. The computer did not crash. I removed all partitions on the Sabrent using the Windows format and clean tools, which appear on the screen when a fresh OS installation is selected. Voila!, I reinstalled Windows to the malfunctioning SSD and it worked without a glitch. I cant determine whether the original problem was with the Sabrent SSD, or with the computer (ASRock B550 TAICHI motherboard). I am reporting this in case anyone else has a similar problem with the SSD. The downside, I lost all data on the SSD, with no possibility of direct recovery. Luckily, I have several backup appliances.

> 3 dayThis is the first addon storage like this Ive ever installed. I had issues as I tried to install it in my tower while the tower was upright. With the cooler on the stick it wasnt to difficult. Once I laid the tower down I had the stick installed in less than 30 seconds. Works great as my storage drive on my gaming computer.

> 3 dayBlazing fast. I get Windows 8.1 to boot under ten seconds. On Linux, it loads nearly instant. This SSD makes the bios seems slow. Lighting fast with plenty of space. After being formatted and OS installed, you get about 3.5TB, but every drive needs to be formatted so space will always be slightly lower.

> 3 dayThing worked like a dream and the performance in a pcie 3.0 slot is still great. Installed on a razer blade 15 2020 with rtx 2070 and it is such a notable improvement from stock in storage and in speed. It’s still a great value in comparison to my pm981a drives that I use in my desktop.

> 3 dayFast and cheap, Sabrent has really built a reputation for themselves in the storage world over the past few years. I am incredibly happy with this drive and would surely buy it again

> 3 dayI had the drive less than 18 months. The other day it died and is out of warranty best I can tell. Sabrent is sending me a new replacement. From what I have read and heard, the early 4tb pcie 4 m.2 had some heating issues but that has been corrected.
