> 3 dayWe just started to baby proof our house as the little one just started to open cabinets. She enjoy opening and closing them, but i wanted something she couldnt get her fingers caught in and would still be safe. The install was very easy with the included templates, especially on my inset type cabinets. Would HIGHLY recommend to any parents who dont want their baby proofing to be explicitly visible and/or have little ones who might get their fingers caught in other tops of locks.

> 3 dayYou may be tempted to get the cheaper ones that have the simple tab that you push down on to open the cabinets. Know that my 12 month old son was able to figure that out pretty quickly thus rendering the cheaper child locks useless. And if my child could figure it out, yours will too. Invested in these instead and in addition to not being able to open the cabinets, he actually has learned to stop bother trying the cabinets anymore. The other nice feature is, you can disengage these so that you dont have to unlock it every time when you need to open cabinets. Then when the kiddo is around, re-engage the lock.

> 3 dayEasy to install with a nice template sticker to use. They stay locked very well, sure if you pulled extremely hard they may break but to keep someone out it works great. One of the pieces was broken upon opening and could not figure out a way to fix it so I had to toss one away. If you lose the key by chance, just use a standard few dollar pack of magnets from the hardware store.

Greater than one weekThis is definitely trick to install - you have to be really careful not to drill through your doors! The magnet seems very strong. But, for our doors (laminate), to unlock this lock, we have to push the door closed while using the magnet to get it to unlock. And, one batch of the 4 four-packs we bought didnt seem to work very well. Everything is lined up correctly but if you tug on the door, it still opens. Theyre definitely prettier than the locks you put on the outside of your cabinets and dont pinch your fingers like other ones. And, the 3 four-packs that did work seem to work very well.

> 3 dayMy kids were able to open every other type of lock (including the ones for refrigerators and toilets). The magnet locks are the only type they couldn’t get past without a magnet. Only downside - no magnets can be on the fridge LOL as my kids figured out other magnets work when they can’t find the magnet “key”. They’re 5 and almost 10 now and the locks are still working for us. Highly recommend!! Fingers crossed the cable magnet lock for the refrigerator works just as well as we still find the need to keep the kids out of the food in the cabinets and freezer (ice cream thieves LOL)

Greater than one weekWorked great in the cabinets that we couldnt use the traditional/much cheaper spring locks for (the cabinets were too close together to get a finger in and push the latch) And they worked great. Installation was easier when I thoroughly read the instructions.

Greater than one weekWe have both TotLoks and the Safety 1st child locks. The TotLoks look like a bit of a contraption and the magnets fall apart if dropped. The locks themselves though are very strong, and theyre much smaller than the Safety 1st locks. They will fit in more places. The Safety-1st locks have much nicer magnets and overall are easier to install/use and work better in normal operation--- but if an adult yanks on a locked door with any force without care, assuming it should open, the Safety 1st lock internally shatters and ceases to work. The TotLoks dont. Minus one star for breaking easily, minus one more for being bulky enough that we had to cut notches in some cabinets/drawers so they would fit. These could be the perfect child lock if both were fixed.

> 3 dayI absolutely love these - except for the fact they are so hard to figure out how to install. It took me 40 minutes to install the first one. Though there are thorough instructions in every language, it is impossible to make out the photos. Once installed, I love them!!! They work great, are incredibly sturdy and you cant see anything! Now, if the manufacturer would just come to my house and install them, I would be completely thrilled! :)

> 3 dayWe are very pleased with these magnetic locks. They can be a bit involved to install, but once theyre in, then they are very simple to use. The manufacturer was kind enough to include a sticky guides to make the installation a little easier, but when you are installing so many of them - it gets a bit exhausting. The only other disappointment I had was that we could not install these locks in a few of our ikea drawers as the locks were too big to fit the space; as a result, we had to improvise with other locks. In the end, I would (and have) recommend these to as many friends as possible!

> 3 dayLove these, although Ive had a few problems with some of them catching properly. They are installed perfectly, but if I pull at the cabinet door hard enough it will open without the key. Not sure why..but this has happened with 2-3 out of 16. Although my baby is only one, hes strong and determined enough to open the dud locks I received. Plan to contact merchant about this issue and hope for replacements.
