easy to install

I have been using Samsung SSDs for a few years without any problems. I am not going into technical details as I dont have the expertise to test it. I am using this drive in an external drive enclosure and it works great. I have put Samsung 860 EVO drives in several of my computers for the main drive and it is a night and day difference in performance of the computers.

Samsung makes a fast drive and for an SSD its at least 5 times faster than a spinning drive -- but if you want real speed and your motherboard has a port for it pass on the SATA SSD and move to the M.2 PCie version by Samsung. The data migration program on the Samsungs website is the best for making an exact clone and not leaving out the UEFI data information needed to properly boot your drive.

The 870s are garbage. Much lower quality than the 860s. Drive failed within 3 months (probably less than that)

los ssds samsung son muy buenos, bueno con unos precios algo elevados, pero de buenos materiales en la contruccion, incluso el aluminio se siente de mejor calidad que el antiguo ssd; mmh en cuanto a la velocidad es la esperada de un ssd sata, de hecho se siente que el crucial mx500 es un poco mas rapido, mas sin encambio en cuanto a temperaturas y desempeño en el dia a dia, este se siente mas robusto, independientemente si se encuentra en descuento u oferta es una buena opcion.

Beyond me, how a package this damaged even leaves the distribution center? I have owned this exact model of Samsung 4 Tb SSD for over a year, EXCELLENT product. That is why I ordered a second SSD of the same model. Upgraded to 4 stars, Amazon quickly replaced with a new properly sealed drive.
