The product can be detected by the bios, by device manager, but it cant be detected by disk management. Tested this on other computers, still didnt appear and result in the same issue.

Samsung makes a great drive at a reasonable price (roughly 2x the cheapest drive you can find). The selling point for me was the little-promoted Samsung migration software. They give it away free and its the way to go if you are migrating from one drive to this one. If you use this for an upgrade also purchase an external enclosure. Then the migration is a two step process. First put this drive in the external enclosure. Then run the Samsung software after installing it on the old drive. After finished, remove this SSD from the external enclosure and put it in the laptop, moving the old drive to the enclosure for an extra backup. Perfect solution and great capacity when upgrading an older laptop. There is an amazing performance benefit. It will shock you how much faster your old laptop becomes.

Didnt come eith cable to connect now gotta order one and wait longer to use

Used for replacement 2 gig 3.15 in Hard drive. This has increased my speed instantly. I used Acronis to duplicate the HD to 2.5-inch SSD works wonderfully in my Dell 27 XPS with 16 gig Ram.

Easy to install and value for my money. I recommend it to owners to MacBook Pro Mid 2012 for upgrade.
