This isnt the first Samsung ssd I have purchased and it also wont be the last. Performance is great. I replaced the HDD drive in my 5 yr old desktop and the difference in speed is amazing. Updating my old PC was hundreds of $ cheaper than buying new. Set up, for me a novice, went quickly and easily using the Samsung date migration app from their website. For me this ssd was a good choice and I am very pleased with the results. Be advised though...especially for a beginner. Only mounting instructions are supplied. Date transfer assistance can be found on Samsungs website and it is designed to support their ssds exclusively. The cloning app is simple to follow. Also a written tutorial can be downloaded for review before starting. Nice. Since I am not a gamer, I can not attest to its performance in that area.

I use 3 of these for sample storage with my daw PC. After 5 years no complaints, ended up getting more recently.

Just what I needed and got it at a great price. Was on sale and price was equivalent to that if a Crucial ssd. So win win....

SATA drives--which are slower and only slightly less expensive that straight SSD drives--are not compatible with all computers, especially not with my new Latitude 3520!

I thought my last SSD was fast but this one is even faster and it has twice the endurances (1200 vs 600TBW) then my previous SSD that I purchase a year earlier for slightly more cost. Running Linux Mint gnome-disks-utility on a Dell E6530, I am getting 550MB/s read speeds and 500MB/S write speeds.
