I purchased this 4TB drive while it was 49% off. I suspected it may be a fake, but the drive is legit, and read/write speeds proved it. Awesome deal.

Samsung drives are always reliable and with hard drives, thats the most important thing. Ive had other brand drives fail on me before but never a Samsung and thats why I stick with them. Great value, easy to install, totally worth it.

The QVO is a DRAMless quad cell NAND SSD drive. That means part of the drive set up as a SLC buffer for the slower QLC storage. In practical use for most home computers its good enough as youll stay in the range where the fast SLC buffer does most of the work. Youll boot up faster and the computer will feel aster over a hard drive. However, if youre doing something like moving large files with video editing, youll use up the buffer and have to wait for the QLC to write. At this point many hard drives will be a lot faster.

I brought the 2TB version of this 870 QVO and immediately felt it was slower than all my other Samsung SSD.... then I did a benchmark and the write speed are pathetically slow... Using the same benchmark I did it with my other SSD drives like a EVO 860 etc and the write speeds are normal at 500MB/s etc comparable to the standard and the read speeds... but this 870 QVO has crazy SLOW write speeds!!! AVOID

Super easy to install very fast and fits into any case with a spot for SSD drives.

Ive had a 1 TB Samsung EVO for years that has always performed well. This drive continues that tradition at about a quarter of the price. I look forward to many years of use with this drive. Not much more to say. It does what its supposed to.
