> 24 hourPiece of junk! Too bad I threw out the packaging. I installed it and I’m never registered with my computer. I thought maybe the computer is too old. So I bought a hard drive enclosure to use it as an external drive for my laptop. Yup! Doesn’t respond or register there either! DOA!

> 24 hourInstallation was easy and pretty straight forward. In comparison to the factory installed Hitachi 5400RPM hard drive, this baby flies. Start up is mere seconds and shutoff is practically instant. My old HP Envy 2016 laptop is now faster than the day i bought it. It has even increased the battery life of this old laptop. Normally i would get an hour to hour and half and now im getting from four to six hours of battery life and the laptop is cooler, silent and will last me many more years of use. I also purchased from Amazon a hard drive caddy and SATA connector made for my laptop so that I could reuse the original hard drive for additional storage that doesnt require speed. The original HItachi hard drive that come with this laptop benchmarks at 48 read / 48 write speeds and the new Samsung SSD benchmarks at 545 read / 500 write speeds.

> 24 hourVery fast drive. It made my 1 year old HP laptop usable. It would take about 2.5 minutes to boot before I upgraded. Now 13 seconds to login screen.

> 24 hourDidn’t work at first, although it showed up under Device manager Via USB. Had to format it using a third party app ( I used a program called Rufus). Now when I plug it in it shows up under My Computer drop down list. Showing 1.81TB available space. There’s more info if you google this issue.

> 24 hourI wouldn’t take a chance buying an off brand SSD drive for my system. Going with name brands such as Samsung or SanDisk is the only way to go. I’m very happy with this drive and its performance. I do not fear data loss. Makes for a screaming start up drive.
