For those wanting a step up without buying a ps5, this is it. Might be a bit overkill but its a nice drive that produces less heat, faster read/write (whatever ps4 pro can handle on sata 3) and more storage.

Easy install on my PS4 Pro.

I took a risk on buying this new drive before many reviews were out. I based this on the controller being the same as the previous gen, but the new is the storage tech. The drive does not disappoint (after 72 hours installed) - speeds are as advertised (fast). Time will tell if it holds up, but the price is cheaper than the previous gen and its faster!

Ive had a 1 TB Samsung EVO for years that has always performed well. This drive continues that tradition at about a quarter of the price. I look forward to many years of use with this drive. Not much more to say. It does what its supposed to.

love the product. Installed lots of my games i play on it. had to request a replacement as the previous one never arrived. Amazon has such an amazing support team. Had it fixed it just a few minutes

Had the 870 QVO 2TB model.

Not all of the 870 QVOs have firmware issues but if yours does you will know cause it deletes everything! And u either have reinstall or clone previous drive. It happened three times on my PC and twice on the ps4 so I gave up and returned it. I have read many articles that state the same, so it all depends on luck of the draw or date of manufacture. I heard it can depend on the date as well. Good luck and hope you have more than I did with this drive. I’m still looking for a drive to use, this is the only 8tb I can find.

This is not working and I am returning it, this very bad product and Amazon claim to must have checked it but I guess not at all because I got 100gig instead of 8tb

Easiest repair or mod I’ve ever done to my systems.

I was experiencing extreme latency with my HP laptop not to mention noisy, after several tests the issue was the hard drive writing speed. I looked for the best internal 2.5 SATA hard drives and found several but this EVO hard drive stood out with all the good reviews. So I decided to give it a try, I replaced it within 10 min. and reimaged the drive with a copy from my old. The entire process was a breeze and now I am enjoying my laptop there is no more mechanical noises. The speed of my laptop has improve by 80%, it feels like a new system. I definitely recommend this product.
