The drives work well, though I would opt for a Crucial SSD before Samsung. I feel like Crucial is a bit more stable, and a little better price... But if you are comparing based on price only, and you see a good Samsung sale, dont worry, go for it... It is an imperceptible difference for most of us humans.

This was a great SSD for about a year and a half until it got to the point where it just wouldnt download anything anymore and any program that was on it ended up being super laggy and glitchy or would just crash.

Works great in my PS4 Pro! Fast loading and textures are amazing! I tested it out on Dying Light 2 and it loaded the whole map at 47%!! Way better than the HDD it comes with. Quiet, and my gameplay is faster now which I love!

Samsung ...you get what you pay for

I love this thing. All of the storage gives me peace of mind. I bought an enclosure for less than 10 bucks and use this just as an external hard drive for now. I have a PC and a mac so I formatted as exFAT32 and am able to use it on both operating systems. Everything was super easy to do. I tested the speed on my mac and I was getting about 425 Mb/s read and 420 write. I was also using an adapter that may have affected those speeds. Theres also plenty of room available for multiple partitions. Its mind-blowing the amount of space available. When Apple first offered 1TB extra space it came with a premium of $4000!

Using the Sabrent USB 3.1 to SATA adaptor, I made this an external drive for the PS5 specifically for running PS4 games on my PS5. With 870 QVO, the load times for the PS4 games have decreased dramatically compared to the PS4 Pro. I understand the PS5s processing power plays a huge role as well, but the difference in speed between the PS4 Pro HDD vs 870 QVO SSD cant be underestimated either. The initial game load and fast-travel in Horizon: Zero Dawn is so much faster now. It feels like the load time has been cut in half. Overall, Im glad I purchased this drive.
