Wish I woulda gone bigger lol

Im using this in a 2015 15 MacBook Pro. Of course Macs come with a proprietary mounting system so I had to purchase a Sintech adapter as well. It took me some time to figure this out but I put the HD in an enclosure and the upgraded the firmware on it first. Point of note, Samsungs black magic software did not work for me in upgrading the firmware. I had to download the firmware from Samsungs site and use a third party app to upgrade the software. Then while mounted to the Mac I formatted it to APFS and then used carbon copy cloner to make a carbon copy of my HD. Overall its been great but despite having upgraded the firmware Im still having some overheating issues. It was more significant when first installed but is less now. Currently running at 140F with a 6% load on the CPU.

I purchased this 2TB SSD for my wifes PC build. She is not a gamer or content creator like me. Her PC boots up and loads programs nearly as fast as my PCs, which have WD SN850x and 980 PRO SSDs. Reaches its advertised speeds easily. Will likely switch her to a SN850x or 980 once she gets up to speed with heavy photo and video editing.

I had an intermittent boot issue on my macbook pro 2017 13 inch, non touchpad A1708 series. It is also known as question mark folder issue, basically macbook can not boot or intermittently gives you hard time to boot up. I tried a lot of solutions recommended, but none of them helped to resolved the issue. There were two options, one is to replace SSD disk and the other one logic board. I ordered this SSD and replaced my inconsistent SSD on my macbook pro. I just replaced it and so far no issue at all. I installed Monterey 12.2.1. Hope this helps for those who has similar issue.

Amazing SSD for for the bigger games. Load times are insanely quick and I often find that the write speed is faster than my download speeds so it usually has to wait for the download itself to catch up. Otherwise, post download, this SSD is Best in Slot.
