Upgraded my sad in my laptop. Great value and easy to put in.

This makes my games load speed much faster than before.

Works great even when held down by a piece of tape with a dime stuck to it because your mounting screw was gone for some reason.

Easy to replace, i used a Sabrent SSD enclosure and Acronis to move my data/Windows. It has been running over a month, great upgrade.

There are other NVMe/SSD drive options out there that are very good drives and a bit cheaper. If you are planning to use the drive only for storage, they might be a better option. However, If you want to clone your existing Windows drive to a (much faster) NVMe drive easily and without jumping through hoops with third party cloning software, then there is no easier or better option than Samsung drives. Samsung has their own cloning software that is easy to use and foolproof. Just install this SSD drive on your motherboard, then download the free “Samsung Data Migration” (SDM) cloning software and the Samsung NVMe driver from the Samsung website and install them. Then run SDM, follow the onscreen instructions and…Done!

I give a five star for the drive itself, three stars for the extremely poor and useless customer service from samsung. The magician software is useless for a 970EVO Plus drive unless the BIOS supports AHCI configuration, thus their drivers wont load into windows10, nor will their driver installer software even recognize the samsung 970EVO Plus drive as a samsung device. The BIOS in my HP Laptop is fixed and cant be changed to AHCI configuration, thus I cant use the samsung magician software even though my main drive IS a samsung! Shame on Samsung for not advertising that fact! Shame on samsung for not providing a work around for it! The only options left is if HP provides an update to their BIOS in the future allowing for AHCI configuration on my laptop, or samsung figures out a workaround with their driver installation software.

You can look at user and critic reviews but doing my research and using this product, it not only works but apparently, you need to accommodate NVME interfaces to fully utilize the speed this should be doing file transfers. If youre transferring files to and from a slower SATA SSD (like the Samsung 860 Evo) youre only going to see read/write speeds at the fastest speeds the SATA SSD can go. Between this 970 Evo and my 860 Evo, I only ever got about 500 MB per second file transfer speeds. And definitely dont expect 3,5000 MB per second transfer speeds between an HDD and the 970 Evo Plus.
