I use some of these for storage tiers in VSAN, and others in workstations and laptops. Theyre great. you should be careful about using them as a caching tier in a NAS or VSAN however, as they are not designed to tolerate the kind of write behavior that those applications can generate. For that you will need to either significantly over-provision these to preserve write capacity, or use something with massive endurance like an Optane instead. Optane will give you more consistent and lower latency as well, so I use them as write tiers for VSAN.

Very fast for EVO.

This is a great SSD at a reasonable price. I am using it on a Raspberry Pi 4 in a Sabarent USB 3.1 case. It has really sped apps starting over the Samsung Evo Plus micro SD card I was using previously. Highly recommend.

This is my second Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD. They are both super fast compared to my previous SATA SSD. Best for video and games.

SSD Good

These NVMe drives are leaps and bounds faster than the fastest SATA SSD on the market today!! I would compare this by going from a HDD to your first SATA SSD, that much of an improvement! Example, I have a 13.7GB file and I was able to make a copy of it (not move it) in 11 seconds!! My system boots up in about 15 seconds! I power it on in the morning, turn on my monitor, set my coffee down on my desk, sit down in my chair, and by the time the monitor powers up it is ready! Sometimes by the time I set my coffee down it is ready.
