My HP Spectre x360 cane with 256Gb ssd which for full after a while. Ive got this 1tb ssd upgrade for a reasonable price. I did install myself, really easy to do it. Just make sure of making a Windows installation usb before proceeding.

Every time I opened Samsung magician, the drive temperature according to the software was too high (55c up to 74c) which is a recipe for disaster if the manufacturer programs this into the software. The drive as a result will slow down as to try to avoid further overheating. This drive should not be used without a passive heatsink at the least, and definitely not in an ultrabook. I didnt get a chance to test much with the desktop as I was already fed up from the overheating error messages.

I went from Intel 660P 500GB to Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1TB. The Intel 660P had R&W of 1300/900, Samsung had 1100/2000 according to UserBenchmark, and 3200 on Samsung Magician software. There werent any significant noticeable differences in speed; in fact I noticed some hanging when opening windows explorer. The software also showed me, after installing the OS alone, I used up 500GB. So, two things: this SSD is either not new (I got ripped off) or its not functioning well or in good health. I could be wrong. It was already a hassle installing with one M.2 slot.

Adding the SSD to a PC makes it feel like a brand new computer. The bang for the buck is really worth it. Much faster, especially at start-up if you use the SSD as the C boot drive. The old hard drive can be used for things that dont need speed - like pics and music. BUT... be aware, youve got to work inside the computer to install it, and then clone (move) the operating system to the new SSD.
