> 24 hourIt was as easy to install as advertised. I was back to gaming and installing games within 5 minutes. Im not great on computers but this was easy because the makers of PS5 made the install user friendly. Great job Samsung and PS5. I do suggest getting a cooling tower it help greatly with heat and saves wear and tear on your equipment for many years of fun. Fit in space easily. Nothing visible from the out side.

> 24 hourFirst things to do after installing is to download Samsung Magician and be sure to update the firmware to the most up-to-date version! People have experienced issues with these SSDs but a firmware update will prevent them. Youll likely receive this SSD with the updated firmware already, but it is quick and easy to check so do yourself a favor. After all of that is done, enjoy the quick speeds of these beasts!

> 24 hourPurchased this product for the PS5. Heard about firmware issue. Saw recent youtube by Jayztwocents who showed that if drive is manufactured in Vietnam in Dec 22, then it already has the latest firmware which corrects the issue of corruption-this issue appears to apply to drives manufactured in 21 in Korea. The drive I received from Amazon was manufactured in Vietnam in Dec 2022. I did not bother to check firmware. Very easy to install with second party heatsink. PS5 reported read speed of 6667mps. I have no regrets purchasing this drive.

> 24 hourDo yourself a favor and download the Samsung Magician software first thing and ensure the firmware is up to date before using it. I lost quite a few large files due to unreadable sectors and CRC errors. I ran a full diagnostic scan in Magician and it identified many bad LBAs, took upwards of 10-11 hours to finish when it should only take 3-4. So I updated the firmware and then low level erased every mapped address space block using gparted live, then reinstalled Windows and files from backup. Kind of disappointing given the price paid when I bought it, but hopefully the latest firmware will be more reliable. After all that, at least Magician doesnt show any bad LBAs anymore for the time being.

> 24 hourThe ssd is super easy to install following the instructions on ps5 YouTube channel. Make sure you get the right size screwdriver to open the ssd slot and change the position of the screw. Takes less than 5 minutes. The system must be updated to the latest firmware update BEFORE you format the drive, otherwise it will not have the same read speed. Format the drive and it’s ready to go. Very fast and all games are playable off it (ps4 and ps5)
