I had a learning curve cloning my internal SSD boot drive onto this one but it ultimately worked great.

Have both versions of the PS5. And installed this SSD to expand the memory for games and such. Only wish I could of afforded the 2Gig or higher, but then I would be spending more then I did for the consoles. Easy as pie to install and then is configured and recognized by the console. Have had one for almost a year and still runs well and the other for 6 months no problems. Except for price.

First time using m.2 nvme and its the best

I came from a SATA drive so I was amazed at how much read/write speed I gained. It is noticeable in games and even in windows. Magician and data conversion software from Samsung makes installing and monitoring the drive very easy. I caught a sale and got the heatsink 2 TB model for less than 200 USD. That is cheap for the upgrade I gained. I have used Samsung drives in my builds for the past 10 years and have had zero problems.

These are nothing short of a miracle. They are fast and accurate.

Easy to install on my PS5 that goes hand-in-hand with Sony and Samsung! Fits perfectly and runs smooth like butter! Absolutely no issues with transferring files after the formatting. I even noticed that even though it’s a 1tb ssd once it was formatted it listed it as 1.1tb. Don’t know if I was lucky or that’s standard. If that’s standard that’s awesome cause it gives you a little extra breathing room! Also not sure if I should’ve stepped it up to the 2tb but either way I am sure both options are solid!

The impossibly tiny screw needed to mount this does not come with the product. Unless you have extra on hand tough luck.

This is the 2nd Samsung 980 PRO that I have purchased. The first time around I got one with no heatsink since there is already one heat sink included on the motherboard. Properly installing the heat sink was kind of a pain so for the 2nd one (on a different PC) I decided to get the included heat sink.. Installation took about 3 minutes rather than 10 min without and I still have the included heat sink on motherboard if i find a killer deal on one later.. I am unable to get the full 7000mbs but I am getting close at 6500.

Followed instructions for installing in a PS5. Worked without any issues whatsoever.

I put the the Samsung 980 PRO in a Acasis Enclosure. Easy to put together and has great speeds with my Mac mini M2 16GB/512GB. Tests in Blackmagic: steady at W:2800+ MB/s, R:2700+/- MB/s.
