For MY tablet, I chose not to have it install/transfer any of the apps I usually would use. This allowed me to see what apps were pre-installed and what space it took up. After initial setup I found that the tablet only had about 10 gigs of space used by preinstalled, system or factory apps. Were there apps I wouldnt use and deleted? Yes, of course. BUT for my case I was plenty satisfied with the 32 gig tablet that I purchased.
