Everything you read about how much a new SSD will speed up your old clunker is true! Really impressed by my laptops speed. Cloning of old hard drive went smoothly, highly recommend paying a bit extra for the Samsung since they have all the software from their website youll need to make the switch so you dont have to go hunting for free software that may or may not work. If you have an older laptop dont forget the spacer as the SSD is thinner than the old HDD, I didnt know this so installed without but ordered as soon as I noticed the issue even though probably not an issue for a laptop that just sits in the same spot all the time. I have had this 4TB drive for 4 months now and I am super happy with it... I do lots of video editing for my YouTube channels (DAHCKRAM Studios, GetFITby50 and XMSMLL) and it is plenty fast (way faster than mechanical HDD) for anything I do in Adobe Premiere or After Effects... I use it as a data drive only (OS drive is 512GB Samsung SSD) and do not regret my purchase one bit. I highly recommend Samsung SSD drives over other brands....

I really thought I needed a .m2 drive but decided to save some money and try the Samsung EVO SSD. This thing is incredible. Ive never seen a PC start so quick in my life. It boots in like 10 seconds or less. Something ridiculous like that. Hell, this starts up faster than my Galaxy S7. Lol.

Super fast drive. Boot times went from minutes to under 15 sec. Its under 30 sec for a full reboot.

The install was a little tricky, but that was mostly due to the hardware kit, not the drive. Also a hiccup or two after installing the OS, but that was resolved quickly. Now Ive been using it for about a month and it has dramatically improved my boot up and program load times. Very happy!

Samsung has been my go to for internal drives and theyve never let me down. I purchased this to replace my 850 pro SSD in my mac mini. I Gotta say, Samsung continues to deliver excellent value.
