Greater than one weekThis was my first build with an SSD and now Im wondering what Ive been doing with my life. My PC boots from fully off to Windows login in 9.2 seconds. Looks nice mounted in my Thermaltake case as well, and with 500gb it has plenty of room for the OS and some software but Ill be using a 2TB Barracuda for my media storage and games.

17-11-2024I have two of these in a Dell XPS 8920, one for the C: and one for the D: drives. This makes the operating system fast and data files on D quickly accessed. The 8920 boots up in 30 seconds. These are cheaper than the equivalent Samsung M.2 1TB SSD. I have bought at least 8 Samsung SSDs over the years and never had a problem with any of them.

19-11-2024I brought it because of the reviews that said it was great. You do have to download the clone software from Samsung but after the download I was able to clone my old to this one in a few minutes. I just tried the same clone with another manufacturer and their SSD and that took over two hours. It was a half the size of this 1TB and a faster computer. So I plan to upgrade this one with a 2TB. Good product

> 3 dayReplaced the spinning disc 1TB internal drive in an iMac and the performance increase was dramatic, particularly during boot up and the launch of Microsoft Office applications where faster launch times was a much needed relief.

> 3 dayRecently I install this in my PS4 Pro and what a huge difference! Installation was a breeze installing the software was easy and now the benefits are pouring down. Highly recommend over the archaic HDD.

> 3 dayI was upgrading from a hard drive to a solid state drive. It took a lot of research to figure out how to copy all my data over, so that was frustrating. This really comes with no instructions or cables (luckily Im tech-savvy and figured it out). We were hoping to keep the hard-drive as an external hard drive but that gets really tricky because when you copy everything to this solid-state drive it is an EXACT copy including the name. So the computer gets confused if you have both of them plugged in, even if you go into the bios and change the boot drive to be the SSD. Finally unplugged the hard drive and it went smoothly from there, but I wish the instructions were included, clear, and that the online software allowed you to do more than just an exact copy of everything. Still, my computer is SO fast now. All the frustration of setting it up is gone now that I can run Photoshop and Lightroom without issues, upload thousands of raw photos within minutes, (it used to take over an hour), I can play games like Fallout 4 and Civilization without lagging or crashing. Its been great so ultimately would recommend, just be prepared to watch some youtube tutorials if you havent done this before.

> 3 dayThe 1TB spin HDD died in my after 5+ years. I bought this SSD to replace it. My iMac never felt this fast after installing this SSD. Waking from sleep was instantaneous, switching users has been pretty fast and the overall system performance improved big time. It is worth spending $150 for this SSD. I love it.

> 3 dayHave installed many Samsung SSDs, and have used them externally with an adapter. Never had one yet fail. Never had one fail any part of the SMART tests.
