> 3 dayThis was the 1st of five EVO 860 drives that Ive purchased here. This is a 500 GB and the last two are 1 TB. In each case, I was cloning Seagate or Western-Digital drives and their cloning software worked like a charm, resulting in a SSD that booted instantly. The Samsung software said it cloned successfully but the EVO wouldnt boot. It was only in desperation that I tried Seagates Discwizard and W-Ds Acronis software, and everything went smooth as silk. Now, the Magician software offered by Samsung is a great utility program for the EVO. But their cloning software drove me to tears.

> 3 dayI originally use it as a substitute for my ps4 storage. After I build a pc, I took it out again. I also have nvme ssd. After direct comparison. Nvme is indeed faster. Get that one if the price is similar. Get SATA only when cheep.

Greater than one weekExtremely fast. Comes with very good software for checking your drive. I dont know why I waited so long to upgrade.

> 3 dayNo problems, very fast. For those who dont know, SSD makes booting up your pc alot faster than your conventional hard drive. Takes me about 11 sec to boot from pressing my pc power button to the home screen. Well worth the money.

> 3 dayI repair computers and always recommend these to clients. Number one recommended upgrade if youre still using a standard HDD. Night and day difference in boot and loading times.

> 3 dayI managed to break the connector of a Samsung 840 SSD, plugged this in and cloned the original, works perfectly. It isnt all that much faster - it couldnt be anyhow, due to SATA limitations - although if you run Samsung Magician, you can fool the benchmarks. The drive/software support a RAPID mode, which is basically a Windows-side disk cache. But it didnt change boot times or program times, just benchmark times, in my experience. My SiliconPower NVMe drive is much faster, despite them benchmarking the same.
