> 3 dayReally fast, great size, I got the ones without the touch feature [PITA IMO], and saved some $$. I love these drives my only criticism is they have no shock or scratch protection. Case scratches pretty easily and gets small nicks if you dont protect them. I would recommend a good case for them. I got one that held two, plus the cables. I have a version of these internally on my MBP and if you havent upgraded an older mac with a SSD from samsung you have no idea how much faster they become!

> 3 dayI have several T7 drives now. These are essential computer components. Some of them have permanent jobs while others are floating drives used for different things at different times. They make great boot drives if you need to test various versions of operating systems. I boot my Mac into Windows and my Windows computers into other versions of Windows. The speed is exactly what the manufacturer promises (around 1 GB/sec). You cant do much better than that with USB 3.2. If you spend twice as much you can get a bit more performance but its not worth it in my opinion for an external drive. The T7 drives get warm but not hot to the touch with frequent use.

> 3 dayUnlike another external SSD drive, the Samsung T7 drive I received is extremely slow.

> 3 dayIve used a T5 drive for backing up my MacBook Pro via Carbon Copy Cloner for about a year. But I wanted a faster drive for photo and video editing. Enter the T7. I almost didnt buy this SSD due to the many awful reviews saying it overheats and makes Macs go bonkers. The drive works great with the supplied cables, but I picked up a short Thunderbolt 3 cable (Cal Digit and Plugable are great options). T7 works just as well as the supplied cables and gives me a little extra length. The drive stays cool even when transferring multiple gigabytes at once. This drive is just as good as the T5 and twice as fast. Buy it!
