> 3 dayI like the SSD and the speed of it. It works perfect with my computer and has been reliable so far. Its good that it is small because I dont have to spend time trying to figure out how I am going to carry it. Its worth a buy.

09-06-2025This is being used as an external boot drive in place of the tired internal hard disk. The 5400 RPM hard disk runs consistently at 93 MB/s (read) whereas the T7 runs at 456 MB/s. My iMac went from several minute to get to the login screen to 50 seconds to get there. Everything else is likewise sped up. I used the T7 as boot (instructions all over the web) and the internal HDD for strictly data storage. Currently, the iMac is being used to stream video via AirPlay and it does a really great job. Lots of room for movies and such on the internal 1TB drive. Given I was offered $70 by Apple as a trade in when buying a new Imac, this little fix was well worth the price.

> 3 daySo for a long time now I have been stubborn when it comes to converting over to using SSDs. I was a firm believer for a long time that mechanical HDDs were better because they have a much higher capacity. I decided to give SSDs a try when I wanted to back my Mac mini up. The package arrived quicker than expected. When I opened it I was shocked to see how small this thing is. Its not kinda small or sorta small its REALLY small. It came with 2 cables. Ones a USB C to C and the others a USB A to C. I plugged it in using the A cable and it popped right up on my desktop. Im currently using Mac os Catalina. I opened it up and to my surprise it was already formatted in EXfat which is a nice touch because that means I can use it on windows as well without the need for additional partitions and formatting. I started my backup project expecting it to take the weekend to do. This drive copied 700 gigs of videos and documents in about 30 minutes. This things FAST. During the time that I used it it became kinda hot but nothing that would make me worried. The copy finished and now I have a weekend wide open to do whatever. The drive has some weight to it and the chassis feels very sturdy. I would ignore the software that comes bundled on the SSD. Its the wrong software for the drive. I recommend getting the software for the touch instead as its the only software that I could get to work with it on mobile. Other users report the same remedy. Im not really sure what the negative reviews are talking about with it constantly reconnecting and leaking some white waxy goo. I havent experienced either and given the age of the reviews Im assuming that they were issues that Samsung fixed at some point. The bottom line is its doing what its supposed to do, its giving me no issues and if for some reason it does its covered by a very robust 3 year warranty. Grab one, Im sure you will like it. I will update the review as time goes on.

> 3 dayI cannot find a reason to dislike this product. Had it about two months to save my PC games on to. I play the games from this SSD to my PC for some good long runs and has no issues. I recommend this if you’re seeking a good looking SSD that can perform great.

Greater than one weekFirst of all, I had two 1TB Sandisk SSDs (from Costco) on my iMac plugged into the USB-C ports. The Mac didnt recognized the drives on a soft reboot and I eventually got tired of fiddling with them. The Samsung works flawlessly with the Mac USB-C port and is noticably faster than the Sandisk. I mean really faster.

Greater than one weekThis Pic is the 1st one I received, called Amazon cust support and they immediately shipped out a return label and a replacement drive, hopefully not run over by the truck. Replacement is sierra hotel fast, compact, and has plenty of storage room. Just waiting on my return to get delivered back to Amazon to clear up the initial crashed delivery. Thanks amazon for the turnaround and help for this old Prime customer
