Greater than one weekI received an apparently new drive, which let me know when I opened it, that it had an expired certificate~ which had expired Sept 2019, even though the item was supposedly manufactured April 2020. Repackaging old merchandise? I can’t imagine why else a “new” item would have an expired certificate~ which could make it incompatible with upcoming operating systems, as I understand it.

> 3 daySSDs are pricey yet but this thing is small for the large amount of storage capacity it has. It transfers fast compared to external hard drives, or (I wont say the name) other external storage devices I have used that are cell phone sized.

> 3 dayI have always been a Samsung Fan and know what to expect. This SSD 1 TD has taken me by surprise. Very small yet very fast and I have stuck it behind my Laptop flap. Great Product.

Greater than one weekI use a macbook for work. I used Apple Time Machine to back up until they came out with Catalina sofware. Now, that system doesnt work. So I got this. I just leave it on my desk and plug it in every morning at work. It automatically backs up. Its noisless and tiny. I will probably never fill it up. It powers off the USB so doesnt take up an AC plug...no wall warts. Nice product!

> 3 dayIf you have Win 10. Dont get this. It does not link with the system and only shows 45 GB as the max on board. Any other time you have to use a password but shows the max avail but that is it. Boring and worthless.

> 3 dayI wish I could give this less than a star. I bought this hard drive in mid april to keep my laptop clean and store powerpoints, worksheets, video and other large files. One month later, the drive stopped working. The power cable still powers other devices, but not the hard drive. So it’s an issue somewhere between the power supply and the motherboard. I have $2 thumb drives that lasted longer than this thing. I called Samsung, and they said sent it to get replaced. They will not even attempt to restore the data and told me they will not reimburse me for the cost of trying to get the data restored if I choose to do so before I send it back. They told me if I did so myself, it would void the warranty. I will never buy another Samsung drive again. This was too expensive to brick one month in.
