12-06-2025This portable storage unit works great and is fast. I havent tried putting it though the ringer on purpose to see if it will eat a terabyte as fast as possible but as far as moving up to 40 gigs at a time it has been perfect and not gotten hot or anything.

> 3 dayI cant give a 5 star as I have not had the drive that long. It is being used as a external SD drive for a Imac 2 running the main OS and a Windows 10 in virtual mode. It load very fast and I am glad I found the youtube videos on how to to it vice opening up the Imac. I love the speed so much I did the dame for my wifes Imac too. So I give it a great little drive and very fast.

> 3 dayThe Samsung T5 is the greatest. I bought it from Amazon for a great price. It is fast, well built and when the 2TB come down in price I will buy another.

> 3 dayI like the SSD factor, the size of the unit, the protection built in to it, and many other things. This was a screaming deal during Amazons sale days. I look forward to utilizing the capabilities of this drive and its programs. I will continue this review as I put the SSD to work.

> 3 dayIf you have an older computer, avoid ALL SSD EHDs. They are dirt slow on transfer with a 3.0 USB port. That being said, this model is roughly the size of a credit card but 1/2 inch thick. So its very portable. Plus its SS so no whirring disc. You can do a few formatting things to help with speed, but unless you have a 3.1 or 3.2 USB, get ready to wait. A LOT. Transferring a 40gig file takes almost ten minutes.
