Had it for about 6 months, works fine, its fast

I am really amazed at by the speed of this device!

The size is very small compared to an external HDD (this one fits in my palm). The transfer speed I got was around 330 MB/s on a USB 3.0 port. Plus the cord came with a little velcro strap for storage!

Second one I’ve bought, no issues at all, quick transfer speeds in a sturdy, portable package. Really happy with this.

I bought this item because it said that it had written speeds of up to 520 MB/s but I am only getting 24 MB/s and lower! Very disappointed because is taking for ever to transfer my files. I paid a premium price but I don’t see what I paid for! Also the item came open. I will be returning this product as the write speed is not what I expected.

The only thing I would prefer is Sandisks extreme portable ssd. That one has a soft exterior so it doesnt slide as much. This one here (samsung) is a smooth metal exterior, so it could slide easily. But other than that, love this item.

Like the ease of use and set up. Speed is decent. Would buy again.

Best external HD I have ever had!

This compact unit is everything and more that Samsung promotes. The capacity is mind boggling for something smaller than a candy bar. The transfer is fast and exact . It is completely quiet, cool & unassuming. I bought it in black & might recommend a bright color because of its size just so you never loose it.

As of this date you cant buy (that I can find) an internal mSATA SSD bigger than 1TB. But I read elsewhere that this Samsung External SSD contains a 2TB SSD, and I can confirm that it does!
