SAMSUNG T5 Portable SSD 1TB - Up to 540MB/s - USB 3.1 External Solid State Drive, Black (MU-PA1T0B/AM)

Someone in the reviews complained that they received a fake item. I think they might have accidentally switched the letter O or number 0(zero) when registering on the Samsung website since I managed to register mine using the serial # without any issues. The unit is quiet. I now have moved most of the files from my macbook pro to this drive. A great buy indeed!

This particular drive is being used as a boot drive on an older system - you would think using a USB3 connection to a USB-C SSD wouldnt be fast enough to get the job done but its excellent performance, speed and quickness makes for an excellent boot drive for legacy systems. I even bought one for the wifes computer to help that one along. A great value for the price. It is so small it will literally fit in your shirt pocket and contains velcro so you could velcro the unit to the back of a PC tower or display. Verified works fine on both Windows and Mac systems if formatted for such things. Next time Id get the larger version to have a larger overall boot drive on the system but this will be a great carry around emergency boot drive for any system.

The size and capacity is great. The password software is lacking. You must install the Samsung software on every device you connect to to unlock the device otherwise it is useless.

Perfectly small and light. No issues thus far. I keep a backup just in case as all storage can fail but it’s been fast and reliable thus far. I would buy it again! One request would be a method to daisy chain drives.

Love my samsung solid state drives, I have one that is 7 years old that is used for 8+ hours a day, never a single hickup. This one is super slim and portable, and can really take a beating, extremely happy with it. Wish the price is better, and also wish it came bigger than 2TB. I also wish a unicorn could fly me over the traffic home from work too, but, we are not there yet..

Superb. Use the 1TB T5 with my MacBook Pro 15” to edit 4K footage captured at 200-400 mbps with a Sony A7rIII and Fuji X-T3 and it works great! Have two of them!

Great value and good service

Wanted to give this SSD a few spins before I reviewed it.

Works great. The first one was just an empty package with no product inside. I reached out to customer support and they sent me a new one immediately which I received the next day.
