I needed a portable SSD with 4TB of capacity, & would work at fast speeds. This drive has met those needs! while the size of the drive itself is relatively small, the capacity is one of the highest currently available. It was relatively fast , but I didnt use my USB hi-speed port which are difficult to access at the back of my computer. Even still the drive outdid an earlier transfer onto another drive using the same front mounted USB ports. Capt. Jim

Great, durable, and fast little drive! Certainly perfect for what I bought it for. I exclusively use Samsung drives, and this is no exception to the quality expected. The included software is very limited, but Samsung Magician recognizes it.

Easy to connect via USB and Samsung provides connectors for both USB and USB-C. Works right away without any set-up. However, if you are running a Mac, you might want to re-format for Apple File System as it might be a bit faster

I put this ssd under heavy game stress and it barely got warm. 600 to 800 mb file transfers. Better than Sandisk extreme pro which constantly froze computer in use.

These SSDs are absolutely wonderful. I will not use any other SSD than Samsung. I have used Samsung SSDs for years. They have NEVER let me down. I know that they are more expensive than other SSDs, but I have not been let down by them and I have lost data with other SSDs - good name-brand SSDs - trying to save a dollar or two. Not anymore. My peace of mind is worth the extra money. I cannot replace the data I have on the disc. And, for me, to keep all the data I need to keep online would be prohibitively expensive. Go with Samsung SSD if you need SSD - you will not be sorry. Also, if you can get one that works with the windows Thunderbolt - WOW - speeds are amazing.

This SSD is amazing. The data transfer is very fast. More than I imagined. Also I had the bad luck that it suffered a 2ft fall few days ago, and after the event stills working perfectly. I would recommend this product.
