I just couldnt get detail installation instruction just following instruction manual that came with it. I had to watch Youtube and follow the installation. Price is bit pricey compare to other models.

This (and most similar style locks) will not pair to Google, Alexa, etc without purchasing the additional home hub of some sort. Seems to be a security thing. It was simple enough to install though. I suggest you pay close attention to the shape your existing handle youll be replacing and if youll need to repaint your door in advance like I needed to. This was a gift from my wife and she didnt realize our previous handle was more circular at the connection to the door. Otherwise, works great and its fairly simple to program alternate codes.l, so long as you understand English very well.

Installed for 6 months now and working as it should. It is a well made lockset. Has a nice heavy feel to it. I like that theres an option to temporarily connect a 9v battery from outside in case battery goes dead. Seems like they thought of everything. 7 year old son operates it without an issue.

Handle and lock were fairly easy to install. The keyway is mounted in the body differently than a normal lock, but its easy enough to figure out. The finish seems good, but I will have to wait and see if it survives. Overall I think that it is very well made and should last for a long time.

Changed out our builder grade handle for this and it looks great! Schlage is a trusted brand, easy to install, and heavy duty!

Ive only had the handle installed for a few days, but the performance so far has been good. The main issue with this handle is how bad the installation directions are. The instructions are designed for multiple different handles, which I understand is necessary to keep costs down, but it isnt clear which steps apply to the handle you have. Also, the directions assume that your door is already perfectly drilled, etc. to accommodate the handle. They provide a template for drilling new holes, but it designed to work for so many different configurations that it is completely unusable. The instructions also dont indicate how many different components youll need to get straight/level at the same time. I had to install, and then adjust several times to get everything in-line. Again, the handle itself seems to be fine, but I would only purchase it expecting to get little to no guidance on how to install it.

The latch seems to get stuck half way unless you fiddle with it while installing it. Hard to explain, but you’ll figure it out. Great looking modern style door handle, though.

The last door know thumb button broke. This was a perfect quick easy replacement.

I love this handle that came with a drill bed to help you install it in your door. It’s as a nice weight to it. Nice black finish. It was perfect for what look un style that we were going for for our front door. I love this 10 out of 10 I do recommend.

This lock worked flawlessly from Jan 2016 until about April 2018 and has since developed a bunch of issues. We have been using it paired with a Wink Hub. The batteries are dying about every 3 months now, with or without frequent use. Now the key pad is dead and we have tried all the troubleshooting we can, without a factory reset or support from Schlage. I tried calling Schlage and could never get through to a person for help. Waiting to see if they reply to the email I sent with a way to get this working again. Not 100% sure if replacing it with a new, similar model will end with the same issues. These door locks arent cheap. They really should have longer than a 3 year lifespan. Taking two stars away since I feel the convenience of this item has dramatically deteriorated in the last 9 months.
