As far as water conditioners, you just arent gonna beat Prime. Ive had a Pacu for over 20 years, and this stuff has saved his/her life more than once. Lets be clear, technically, it does remove ammonia... but what it really does is convert the toxic ammonia into non-toxic ammonium until the biological filter can consume it. SO, if you use an ammonia test that only tests total (API ammonia test) and not just free, toxic ammonia - youll get false readings. If you really want to know what your free (toxic) ammonia levels are, Id suggest the Seachem Ammonia Multi-test and Seachem Ammonia Alert as well.

Other than the smell, it’s great. Detoxify ammonia. One capful treats 50 gallons. Been using it for over a decade.

I’ve been using this product for quite a long time. It seems to work well and I use it on my six tanks during their weekly cleanings. My one and only complaint is that it smells awful. I’m really sensitive to smells and it has a horrible sulfur smell. Thankfully just opening the window disperses the smell and all is well.

Great value for this product. Ive used it for years and have never lost a fish. It might be a little more than other similar products, but my fish are worth it.
