I love this water conditioner. It helps to protect your fishs slime coat, which helps to keep them healthy! This product is relatively inexpensive and lasts a very long time! I have been using the same one for over a year now. I perform 20% water changes every week on my 65 gallon tank. It works really well and helps to keep my fish healthy and their water conditioned!

Great product - not only conditions tap water but neutralizes ammonia for 24 hours. I use this in my 75 gallon freshwater tropical tank every week during water changes.

Works like a charm to condition water for a freshwater tank: it does not remove phosphate and other pest chemicals , but will make tapwater safe for freshwater fish to use, and in an emergency, it can condition water well enough for marine fish and corals to use. [Generally you want to use only ro/di-filtered water for marine tanks, but this is a life-saver of a product if you have no ro/di water ready and have no choice but tapwater.]

The product is great. Shipping could be better. When I got my package, the inside was a little damp and I could not figure out where it came from. The bottle of Prime seemed to be in good condition. As soon as I took the foil off from under the cap, the product started dripping from the bottom. There was a tiny slit that would leak with the top off, or if you squeezed the bottle a little bit. Thankfully I had an almost empty bottle I could transfer it into.

Used to get toxins out of the tap water so it’s safe for my hermit crabs. Hermit crabs need a pool of fresh water and salt water and this prime is added to both to make it safe water for the hermit crabs.

Seachem Prime is a complete and concentrated conditioner for both freshwater and saltwater fish tanks, working hard to remove chlorine and chloramine.

For over three decades, Seachem has been a company rooted in sound science. Our experience in the hobby and an educated staff of chemists and biologists are part of the package when you purchase Seachem products. Seachem remains as one of the few surviving independent and privately owned pet care companies. Seachem is owned and operated by

Over thirty years later Seachem is still approaching old problems in a new way.

Seachem’s philosophy is that the knowledgeable hobbyist makes the best customer. This is reflected in solid and reliable customer education and support as well as products proven in science and performance. While Seachem has grown rapidly into a national and international firm, it retains the culture of a small company and is readily available to its customers.
