No significant changes in water quality. May be I expected too much from the product. My tank didnt clear up much, but it didnt kill any of my fishes, like other people said. I still have water test to run but no significant visual changes. I would think this is still good for small tanks to start up the tank, but I do not recommend it for exisiting tanks.

Highly recommend all Seachem products. This is great for starting and maintaining tanks.

I get twice this size for the same price at Pet Smart. They were out so I thought I would order online. This is a really small bottle.

I used this on a new 5 gallon tank and continue to use a bit every other cleaning or so. Seems to work very well for establishing new tanks. Put a recovered betta that I saved into the 5 gal after setting it up and cycling it for only a few hours. Been almost a year and hes still alive so Id say it works.

It works for fishless cycling. It is not completely foolproof and the directions are more like guidelines IMHO. I started to see signs of the nitrogen cycle within a few days of following the directions. Albeit, at a very low capacity. It takes time for it to grow and adapt to the tank conditions and it is very sensitive at this stage. An ammonia spike or chlorinated tap water could easily kill it. Be sure to use Prime! Not Amazon Prime, Seachem Prime! It does not actually say that it cycles your tank in 7 days like people seem to assume. More like, it takes 7 days of dosing to ensure the start of the process, and once the process is started there is little point in adding more. You still need to add fish gradually over weeks or months which is no different than before. I appreciate the product description indicating that they have given thought to long term stability. I wish I could get a little more detailed information but I think its probably a trade secret. It worked for me and I think its a legitimate product. Your results will very per your unique situation.

Used it to help cycle a new tank. No scientific proof, but it did not appear to help the process at all, it still took 6-weeks. Would probably not buy again.
