> 3 dayIt works for fishless cycling. It is not completely foolproof and the directions are more like guidelines IMHO. I started to see signs of the nitrogen cycle within a few days of following the directions. Albeit, at a very low capacity. It takes time for it to grow and adapt to the tank conditions and it is very sensitive at this stage. An ammonia spike or chlorinated tap water could easily kill it. Be sure to use Prime! Not Amazon Prime, Seachem Prime! It does not actually say that it cycles your tank in 7 days like people seem to assume. More like, it takes 7 days of dosing to ensure the start of the process, and once the process is started there is little point in adding more. You still need to add fish gradually over weeks or months which is no different than before. I appreciate the product description indicating that they have given thought to long term stability. I wish I could get a little more detailed information but I think its probably a trade secret. It worked for me and I think its a legitimate product. Your results will very per your unique situation.

> 3 dayI used this to cycle 4 tanks. It helped me cycle my first tank in a little less than 3 weeks, with fish in (Ill never do that again). But I will use this again, I still have a bottle on hand for my quarantine tanks.

06-06-2025Great value. Top was not sealed tight as it should have been. A little leaky. Did the job.

> 3 dayNo living bacteria in the bottle I received. Two weeks in and I have plenty of ammonia and no nitrates. Thank goodness I didn’t add any fish assuming this stuff would work. I’ve heard the bacteria can die in shipping, but if that is the case then they should package it more effectively. Waste of time and money.

Greater than one weekI use this when setting up a new aquarium or changing the water out. It establishes a bio-filter and prevents new tank syndrome. It is not a water conditioner to get chlorine and other stuff out of the water. I use a beneficial bacteria from Fluval biological enhancer too when starting up a tank.

> 3 dayA great product that can cycle a tank in just a week. Easy to use and saved my tank after a crashed cycle. Make sure to dose Prime and not change the water for a week in between doses!

> 3 dayGreat product! Really helped jump start my nitrate reactor, as it apparently includes anaerobic bacteria.

> 3 daymuch much better than the tetra equivalent. Add this to your new tank as well as this trick: Go to your local fish store and ask for a used old dirty filter. put it in a ziplock and keep it wet. When you get home, throw it in the tank. I know it seems disgusting, but it will jump start your beneficial bacteria cycle and cut weeks off your stabilization time. This and a bottle of Prime are a must have for any aquarium owner.
