> 24 hourI have used this Backup Plus Ultra Touch for 6 months, now it doesnt work. First issue is that the Seagate plug that goes directly into the drive is loose and barely stays in. Bad hardware isssue. Heaven forbid you move the thing, it comes right out. Now the drive isnt recognised by my computer at all. Im fairly tech savvy with my Macbook Pro and I set it up 6 months ago so I know what to do, nothing works. I called Seagate. Was on-hold for 27 mins and just as someone picked up, the call disconnected. Their text with an agent option on their website is actually a robot tree that sends you trouble shooting articles. Maybe they think of their robot as an agent, I sure dont. I have used Seagate products for a very long time, Im disappointed and wont buy again. Yes, I am once again on hold...

> 24 hourSet this up 6 months ago, today manually updated after large download, found it had not been backing up like I thought. It asked for password, put in my usual and it said it was wrong-looked at my hint which says use regular password - nope didnt work. I then wasted a half hour looking for a way to reset my password-nothing. I started a chat and asked simply how to reset password-50 minutes later after multiple back and forth they finally told me THEY DONT DO THAT! You have to completely wipe all the data from the drive and start all over again-which took over an hour. On top of that it never did prompt me to choose a new password so I dont know if next time I will have to do this all over again.

> 24 hourI read many reviews of multiple products and since many products are quite comparable I used this as the deal breaker. Read that I would not need to reformat but that is totally incorrect. Just spent the required 50 mins (includes the hold time) working with tech asst to reformat so I can begin to use this product. Tech asst was very good and we got through it but it was not how I wanted to spend my time and not what I believed I would need to do. Since I am now just waiting on the backup I have no other review of this product.

> 24 hourI very sorry I bought this. It is far from plug and play as evidenced by my many ours with tech support.

> 24 hourMost drives have you charge an exorbitant sum of money for stuff like extra hardware protection, better storage space, and faster uploading speeds, but heres the deal: if you dont need to be constantly on the go at all times, this drive is more than satisfactory for storing and saving files. Im a video editor and I primarily use this drive to keep all my projects when Im not editing any of them, so it sits right next to my computer. I havent had any problems so far in a year of using it- very satisfying!

> 24 hourThis is great! Copies quickly, a one MB folder was completely copied in a little over a minute! No problems at all.

> 24 hourAs noted in other reviews it worked right out of the pkg on my MacBook Pro w/o any formatting. Used solely to store my tens of thousands photos. Bottom gets pretty warm as it is a HDD & not an SSD. Write speed is slow but I knew that when I bought it for the price. Device side of cable appears proprietary (see photo). Didnt use any of the SW provided on the drive. Nameplate says made in Thailand in 2022.

> 24 hourIts a fine hard drive for the price, but I bought this because I thought it used a USB-C connection. instead, its a proprietary connection leading to a USB-A...with an A to C adapter. That means one more thing to remember every time I want to connect this hard drive to a modern computer.

> 24 hourI have a 2017 MacBook Pro with only a 256gb SSD. Ive been able to manage thus far, until my job has transitioned into more media and editing. Using primarily Photoshop & Adobe Illustrator has made this external hard drive a necessity. I formatted it to Mac OS Extended (journaled) using DIsk Utility and have it set up as my scratch disk for my Adobe Cloud and it has been perfect for my needs. Easy and fast and its quiet too. Small footprint makes it easy to throw in my bag and bring it with me. Im very pleased! *One important thing to note that can be seen in the stock photos, but not gleaned from the title: the unit itself is NOT usb c...but rather they include a usb 2 to usb 3 adapter. At 2TB...I should be good to go for a very long time!

> 24 hourwas hoping for a better human interface after several years, but disappointed.
