Sennheiser HD 598 Special Edition Over-Ear Headphones - Black (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

Very good sound. Any way, the UPS just left the headphone near my house door, and signed my roommates name. Is it legal that we both are not home at that time? Maybe I should give AMAZON a complaint call.

I have no idea how these headphones have received such a high review. I am in no way a sound snob, I have been using a pair of iPhone headphones for months so I thought any over ear headphones from a trusted brand would blow me away (especially ones so pricey) but that was not the case. The sound quality of these headphones is an absolute joke. There is almost no bass to speak of, the highest volume they reach is in no way loud enough and they just sound.... Bad. The real kicker with these headphones is that no matter what level you have the terrible sound, anyone standing near you can hear what you are listening to crystal clear. I had it set very low and asked my sister if she could hear the sound (even though i could tell she could) and she said loud and clear. Ok so lets turn them down, and she can still hear the music at almost the lowest setting. Turned to a reasonable volume? You may as well be charging people around you for playing music. We laughed our butts off at how bad these were, I cant imagine why anyone would pay the full price for these terrible headphones. I purchased these on black friday for $100 saving $150. If you did the same for yourself of a child or a friend I would recommend returning these before you even open them. You can find an exponentially better set for the price these are being offered at. If youre looking to spend $250 after the sale? Get your printer ready to print the return label. Absolutely horrible.

Got it on time, brand new with very good quality. Comfortable to wear and with wonderful sound effect. Worth the price~

Ce casque je men doutais est réellement bon ! Alors bien sur cest pas non plus un casque de fou ! Mais pour le prix et pour son utilisation cest déja bien ! Les + : - la séparation des instruments ! Cest ce qui ma bien surpris, jai redécouvert des musiques, car sur un casque simple la plupart des instruments seront mélangés les uns dans les autres .. mais là ! jai pu à lécoute bien séparer les un des autres. - le changement de câble . Il y a donc un câble avec un gros jack et un câble mini jack, le changement est très simple (il suffit de dévisser 1/4 de tour pour enlever le câble et inversement pour le remettre. assez utile ! - la longueur de câble est suffisante pour le gros jack, plus petite sur le câble mini jack. Les - : - le packaging peut être un peu simple. ça aurait été sympa dans une petite boite ou fournit avec une housse. - fautes sur le packaging !! ( cf photo ) ce nest pas très grave, mais quand même ! Je recommande ce produit pour ceux qui veulent avoir un son très clair dans les oreilles, surtout pouvoir distinguer chaque instrument dans une musique ! Il est agréable à porter et est compatible avec beaucoup de styles musicaux. Bonnes basses. Par contre comme il est ouvert, donc forcément tout le monde entend votre musique !!

I bought these in 2016,and they have been in daily(well,almost daily) use since the spring of 16. I have had no issues. The sound is concert quality and for the price,the value is there. 4 years, listen to mostly live and bootlegged stuff,and these Sennheisers are still going strong. For the money,i dont see anybody beating these headphones. I had to buy a connector, due to my pulling the phones out of the slot on the computer at an awkward angle. Amazon had it,and a plethora of other Sennheiser accessories.

Modern looking, very nice fit and comfort. OK for long sessions. The cable can be separated from the headphones (which I like because it can be replaced if I need to). Sound is just nice and clear. Very accurate, detailed and balanced. Good separation and responsive, accurate bass. As a drummer, I love listening to accurate drumming reproduction, and they have it. Good sound stage too. Be aware that they are open back, which means the people around you will hear what you are listening to, and they dont provide much sound isolation.

Ive wanted a pair of these headphones for years, and I finally got the chance to buy them. They work great, super comfortable, great build quality and clear sound. Best pair of headphones Ive ever own, and I hope to enjoy them for years.

These headphones are amazing for at-home use. The open back style makes everything sound more natural and less claustrophobic. You can have full conversations while listening to music as external sound is not blocked whatsoever. Basically you will be able to hear whatever you would using standard speakers, which may be a downside to some people but is a great bonus to me. Im the type of person who doesnt want to feel like they have headphones on, and these are so lightweight and comfortable that I have no complaints. I wear glasses and never get the sore ears that occurred with other types of over-ear headphones. These are 50ohm cans and will require a bit more power to achieve the volume you want. For example, with Apples earbuds you may only turn your phone volume up to 20% in a quiet room, but with these headphones youll need to increase the system volume to at least 70%. My Android phone isnt really capable of pushing these headphones to the volume levels Id like, and I would not recommend buying them if you are only going to listen to music on a portable device. These are much better suited for a dedicated sound card or amplifier, which will bring the nuances of your music to life with the added power. TL;DR: Great for at home usage when your environment is quiet. Open-back isnt for everyone, but youll love these if you do enjoy that style of headphone.
