Greater than one weekIve been using this model headphone for about 20 years professionally as a medical transcriptionist. Back in the day the cord was rubberized, non tangle and non kinking.. The phones themselves sounded great. I used them about 10 hours a day between work and recreationally. Fast forward to about 5 years ago when I bought a new pair after my original beloved set gave up the ghost and just fell apart. The cord was now a much cheaper plasticized cord that never straightened out and stayed permanently bent and kinked. One of the headphone wires developed a short or some sort of contact issue that made it stop working until the cord was unplugged from the speaker and then plugged back in. This happened constantly. Bear in mind that both cords going to both headphones are detachable and can be unplugged from the headset. So I bought yet another pair that had the same issue of sound shorting out in one headphone until the cord was unplugged and then replugged. This happened multiple times daily. Same cheapo plasticized cord. Then I Googled and discovered that the cord connection was the source of a problem for many people, some of whom offered self-fixes on YouTube or other websites. A new cord is outrageously expensive, in the 40-50 dollar range. So in my experience these are not what they used to be, not even close. Be aware of the cord shorting issue before you buy and think about whether you want to risk having the same issue that has plagued many owners of these headphones.

> 3 dayLight weight, comfortable, and versatile make these perfect for run and gun video/film style. Very good audio quality. But impossible to change from the coiled cord to the straight the cord. I was unable to find the appropriate size took to use so I gave up. They should include it in the package given the pricing.

> 3 dayI’ve been a DJ for 40 years and always knew of these but never got a pair or even tried them. I was super late to this party (lol) but they definitely are what everyone says they are. AMAZING

> 3 dayAbsolutely incredible. Words can’t even describe. Produce for over 5 years and have always been looking for some quality headphones that are accurate “sonically”. I can’t always use my KRK monitors and sometimes those don’t even provide a proper bass reference. These are amazing. If you’re like me, you like to study music and figure out all the tricks in a song. These let you truly listen to every layer. Made me go back and listen to all my favorite artist. It’s a whole different experience.. if you’re worried about the price, it’s a great investment just like any gear!!! 100/10

12-06-2025Wow, I was searching for a long time and watching for top ten best headsets and this headset came up every time. I was going to get the Technics headset, but saw a lot not happy with new design. So I bought these. Flat out amazing! At first I thought something was wrong? The music came in different. Then after awhile. I started to trip out on the clarity I was getting with only one ear covered. Amazing! I was hearing lyrics of songs I have had for years and was understanding every single word. Some songs I have had for years had high pitched hits I never clearly heard before! Get these! The price is right, tons of web sights recommended these. You won’t be upset.

> 3 dayI thought Id upgrade to these after having a pair of Sony Professional over ears for the first few years I learned to DJ. These cost about 60 bucks more so I expected them to be great. Good: The sound on these is excellent and barely anything is lost with the on-ear design. Theyre lightweight and comfortable, you could mix with these for hours and your ears wont get sore or sweaty. Bad: Every negative thing about these comes down to the build quality. The rubber pads peel immediately after you start using them, right off the bat. The wire is super short, so these things get ripped off your head pretty frequently if youre active behind the decks. After that, it was about three months before the connectors started getting loose and making crackling noises and drops in volume. I constantly have to fiddle with the connectors to get the sound to come through correctly. The connectors are not enclosed, so its easy to bump them and loosen them. Eventually, the left one started to do the same. It was too far outside a return window to do anything about this and Im pretty unsatisfied with these. Stick with cheaper Sony headphones until you can go up one more tier and stay far away from these.

> 3 dayThey started shorting out before I could even use them for a recording class (which recommended them). Since I needed them in a hurry, returning wasnt an option. It was a struggle as they would cut in and out unless I held them just right. [EDIT: I eventually just pulled out the connectors and put them back in when this happened every now and then. In 2022 I had to replace the cord because the wire broke after years of bending. The earphones have worked fine over the years since I bought them and I would buy them again (unless I find something better)

> 3 dayI had a pair of $300 Pioneer DJ headphones I loved, but needed replaced. Decided to save 50% and give Sennheiser a try. Would I buy again? Hmm, honestly I wish I had spent the extra $150 and bought another pair of Pioneers, but I think for most people these will be adequate, I just dont think they are perfectly suited to bass-heavy EDM.
