Sennheiser Professional HD 280 PRO Over-Ear Monitoring Headphones

These headphones are very comfortable. I will be using them in the studio for rehearsals and I think they will be comfortable for the 2-3 hours per session. They are very honest sounding with very little coloration, which is what I need in the studio. They seem to be well made. I would have preferred a removable cable, but I can live with it. My Shure 840s are a bit more airy sounding, but for the most part, the HD 280 is just as good and for a lot less money, Of course, Amazon delivered them to my door within 24 hours of me ordering them, which is a big plus.

Purchased on Jan. 16, 2022. On Aug. 3, 2022 the right channel died. Used them in my home studio for commercials and audiobook production. Liked them just fine until now. DO NOT BUY! Very angry. I will never purchase another Sennheiser product.

These headphones are really great studio monitoring headphones for the price. Excellent introductory headphones, amazing price for the value. One word of caution, dont buy these for punchy bass. These are for clarity, a more natural sound. It doesnt have that slam youre looking for if youre into pop and edm.

I bought these on the strength that many people seem to think they are wonderful headphones and to replace my old Sennheiser HD210 which were truly excellent for the money but sadly have given up the ghost.

These are great, especially for the price. The bass response is excellent and the tight fit may not be great if you have a large head but they fit so snug and very little sound gets in or out. I love my 280s and have never had any issues or problems after 18mos. Very good sound for mix since there is not alteration or enhancements from the speakers. Replaceable cushions are a great idea as well since these seem like the speakers will outlast the foam.

Using these headphones for a few days now with my iPhone 6 Plus. The fit is very tight against my ears but not uncomfortable. I suspect that will eventually loosen up a bit over time. The ear cushions are very comfortable and also do well in keeping out external noise.

I seriously love these headphones. Ive never had headphones that werent given with a new phone or mp3. I had listened to music from real headphones and couldnt believe the quality I had been missing out on. These headphones give me the quality I want plus theyre so comfortable. I have had them on for hours without being bothered and it really cancels out most outside noise. Its amazing everyone should own a pair!
