Im down at the store and I get this notification on my phone, and Im like what the heck is this, Surprise to me its my push sensor alerting me my humidity is rising beyond the limit I set. I was like well that just made the unit pay for itself, how awesome to be out and about and have the ability real tjme to check temp and humidity.

I bought this gateway for four sensors around the property (outdoor, fridge, garage, basement). Maximum range it can reliably detect a sensor is about 40-50ft. Overall, its a great concept--and essential for reading temperatures when youre traveling--but the poor performance is frustrating in the extreme. [I use this with a wired ethernet connection, and have tested with wireless as well.] Note added later: SensorPush customer support has been extraordinarily responsive and helpful in getting my gateway issues identified and resolved. That alone takes it from a 3-star to a 4-star rating. Also, Ive switched over to running this with a POE splitter (ANVISION 5V Gigabit PoE Splitter, 48V to 5V 2.4A Adapter, Plug 3.5mm x 1.35mm, 5.5mm x 2.1mm Connector, IEEE 802.3af Compliant, for IP Camera and More), and its worked flawlessly. That gives me much greater flexibility in hiding the gateway in cabinets, exposed ceiling joists, temporary locations, etc.

Setup takes a bit of work, and it seems like there are things that only the manufacturer can do on the gateway, which is not a warm fuzzy security feeling. The tech support team (via email) are very competent, professional, and responsive - wish everything was as good. The gateway has performed flawlessly for us so far, and teamed with the thermo sensor, made for a lot less stress for our building maintenance team.

Bottom line, if you have temperature and humidity concerns and you want to be able to know exactly what your conditions are at anytime. This is the one for you. I have this product hooked to 4 sensors at current property. 4 years later. I have no complaints. NOTE: There product support team is the best. I will pay for a product that delivers and a team that stands behind their product.

Working well in my work environment

I was sent a unit with a European plug (despite product description clearly saying US PLUG). Had to buy an adapter, . VERY DISAPPOINTTD

I have one in my house and one on my boat. Both were easy to install, set-up and use. I just need to purchace additional sensors.

Great tool to view whiile away in winter

i bought the gateway , but i cannot create an account, cannot connect the gateway and i never had any answer to my requests from the customer service. i m returning it.

Just got our SensorPush WiFiGateway and Thermometer/Hygrometer yesterday. After pushing the gateway and sensor to what weve found are the distance limits on our farm and given obstructions, weve found a spot for the gateway that pick ups the sensor in our greenhouse. The gateway is now outside under a covered porch, about 100 ft from the router, and the sensor is another 75 ft away inside a covered greenhouse. I loved that as I was running errands today, I received a warning that the greenhouse had gone above the threshold temperature. It took a bit of tweaking to get everything to work together, but the website was helpful, and now everything is working great. Ill be ordering more sensors for different applications around the farm. Im thinking walk-in coolers, freezers, and additional high tunnels.
