> 24 hourIm adding to the previous review. Ive now had this sweeper 1 year, 10 months. The sweeper is still doing its job well, but I have had to replace two parts. 2 months ago I had to replace the extension wand, something in it that supplies the power to the sweeper head (floor nozzle) went bad. It was a $30 fix. Today, my replacement floor nozzle arrived. I noticed in the last month that the power fins completely wore down, and a few days ago the beater bar stopped spinning entirely. Replacement past was $90. Please note that I have a large house and sweep both bare and carpeted floors on a daily basis, so it is definitely getting a workout. I still have no regrets about buying this sweeper. Previous review: Ive had this sweeper for over a year now. It does what its supposed to do. However its hard to use on stairs because the hose isnt that long or flexible. This is my 2nd Shark. Kids broke the first one. I havent been disappointed in the brand yet.

> 24 hourHad an old Dyson and presumed I had the best vacuum available. It smelled of smoke the other day and would no longer turn on. Time for a new vacuum. This vacuum had a great fan club on the internet. When I tried it out, it not only picked up new mats of hair, but appeared to be cleaning the carpet very deeply. It appeared that trapped hair and dirt from long ago were also being picked up. Awesome performance.

> 24 hourWhat a difference this vacuum has made. In the past I would have to dust every day, dust so thick you could write your name in it and this happened even when vacuuming every day. This vacuum fixed the problem. I love it!! It is so easy to switch from bare floor to rug cleaning. The rug cleaning works great also. Vacuum is a little heavy but it is a great trade off for the suction. The only thing I do not like is the hair wrapping around the small rubber tires in the front of the vacuum. I have a constantly shedding border collie and cat and hair is everywhere. When I vacuum the hair winds around the small rubber wheel axles. I have to clean it out by using tweezers. I hope the future models of Shark have an easier way to clean this wheels.

> 24 hourThis replaced a Dyson ball, that I was never happy with. Dyson advertises that their vacuums never lose suction, but the suction on the Dyson was too weak to begin with. This Shark has WAY more suction. It also has a far better brush roller. The brush roller on the Dyson was self-adjusting but seemed to ride on top of the carpet pile, instead of digging in and pulling out dirt. The fins on the Shark do a much better job of getting into the carpet fibers. The fins also dont get clogged with hair, and the second roller does a great job on the bare floor. The lift-away turns the vacuum into a corded stick-vac that lets the vacuum get under the sofas, entertainment center, and beds. The headlight helps you to see the dirt in those areas, too. And the fact you can use it as a wand or handheld is a huge improvement over the Dyson, too. So, what are the negatives? Its ugly. Its heavy. The hose is a bit short. The cleaning head is a little too tall to fit under one of our sofas, even in stick-vac mode.

> 24 hourThis vacuum has a lot of nice features and is easy to use. It cleans very well. My only critique is that it is a bit clumsy to use and heavier than what you would think.

> 24 hourThis Shark Vertex replaced my ancient Hoover upright. It was easy to assemble and did a remarkable job on carpets and dust. Easy to clean. The hose on the Powered Lift Away canister is a little short for most home use. Recently, the base unit with the rollers started to malfunction. The green suction indicator light, the main roller, the soft roller and the LED lights functioned only intermittently. Rolling the vacuum forward would cause all lights and the main roller to function but the soft roller never rotated. My original purchase of this vacuum was in 2-2021, less than a year ago. It supposedly carries a 5 year warranty. I called a nice Filipino lady at the number in the manual and described the issues. She recommended I try and clean the suction hose and wand of any obstructions which I had done previously. After a few maneuvers with her on the phone line she informed me I would need a new base suction unit and Shark would only charge me one half the price for this part since this part is not covered by their warranty. I read the 5 year warranty to her from the Shark manual. Nowhere does it say anything about the base unit not being covered. After she spoke with a supervisor she let me have a new base unit for the cost of shipping only. After paying a very premium price for this vacuum I am a little concerned that it is breaking down within less than a year. Although friendly, their rep tried to charge me for a part that should clearly be covered by their own warranty. Will see what happens with the new part and how long it lasts. I probably would not buy a Shark product again. Beware of their customer service and have your manual available when you speak with them. FOLLOW UP--The new head arrived as promised. I attached to vacuum and exactly the same problems occurred. The roller brushes worked only intermittently and the green light turned on/off. Again called Shark. This time the rep told me to attach the suction nozzle directly into the new head. Viola! Worked perfectly suggesting the problem all along was in the aluminum wand tubing and not the head. She sent a new one by overnight freight without cost to me and everything works perfectly. For now. Well see.

> 24 hourOk, this thing is absolutely OUTSTANDING. We vacuumed the whole house with our Dyson dc33. Now granted, that one is 10 years old already, but their claim of never loses suction is just false. It HAS to lose it. Within the last few months, we replaced the hose, brush roller, filters and belts. After doing the whole house, we did it AGAIN with the new shark. It filled the canister-TWICE! Suction is amazing. Different modes for different floor types of a flick of a switch on the handle, so super easy to switch between floor types. Easy to push, turns great, doesnt weigh much, the lift away makes steps SUPER easy, and the roller does not hold hair! We have 2 huskys in the house, so long hair is INSANE. And we still have nothing wound around the brush head. Really the only complaint is the cord is like, stupid short. Only reason for 4 stars. I have a central outlet that let me do my whole house with my Dyson. Now I need to switch outlets 3 or 4 times to do my house. Kind of annoying, but nothing an extension cord cant fix. Either way, I couldnt recommend this vaccum enough!

> 24 hourThis is my first Shark, and Ive never owned a Dyson, but I do have 6 house cats and 2 horses and a plethora of chickens and turkeys, so the dirt tracked into my house is on a daily basis is in the overwhelming amount! FWIW, only the cats have access to the house, not the other critters, and only 2 go out on a semi-regular basis, so this is all about accumulated hair rather than dust/dirt underfoot as I change shoes at the door. I will say that it got the entrance mats by the doors almost as clean as power washing them, which was amazing as they are ribbed pile, not flat! the other vacuum wouldnt touch that. I bought this to combat the cat litter tracked and the hair, and sanitize the air, as I have allergy issues. I have mostly hard floors, a few area rugs, and an un-carpeted staircase that has been a huge problem with hair blobs. I have 100% woven wool area rugs in the living room, they are deep pile and have been a problem to get clean from the beginning, not to mention that they also shed! Here is how I rate the Shark: Suction is 100%, bare floor cleaning 100%, area rugs on pile setting and they are 80% clean. Some of that is probably because the rugs are old and need repeated vacuuming to get *all* the dirt out of them. I used the lift away feature to vacuum the corners of the rooms and it was long enough to reach, but just barely. Under furniture? NO problem! Basically I dont have to dust mop any longer as the floor finish roller does a great job of getting the dust up, too. The hand tools are powerful, I have slip covers on several pieces of furniture, and the power brush is too strong it can suck up the material making it hard to vacuum. So I use the un-powered brush attachment and that works great. The only thing that Im missing is a little mesh bag for organizing the extra attachments. For $350-$400, Shark should come up with a free bag for their customers. And, do yourself a favor and order the spare filters, they come in handy. I have to change mine each time I use it to get the best air quality. I simply rinse and dry the filters that come out and reuse them.

> 24 hourI am beyond in love with this vacuum! I will never be buying a 80$ vacuum again there’s a reason you’re paying as much as you do for this state of the art cleaning technology. I have always looked for an easy to clean vacuum that help pick up all dirt especially in carpets. Being someone with asthma this machine has definitely helped minimize all dust in my home! I feel like I’m in an easy breathing environment after bringing this to my home. I will be recommending this vacuum to everyone especially pet owners and people with children it helps keep the house safe and clean
