> 3 dayI’ve owned or used all the major brands over the years and have even owned two Kirby brand vacuums. This is so much better. Easier to empty than a Dyson. Better for hardwood floors than any other, it doesn’t kick out bits to the side or leave anything behind like my Dyson stick did. Better for carpet/rugs because unlike many vacuums you have a bleed valve that allows for pile height or backing. The ease of use and multiple ways to configure means I can actually vacuum my hardwood stairs, get underneath the beds, and in corners without stoping and starting. I love the mini rotating tool, it gets the pet hair and doesn’t clog. This vacuum can do it all. I may get another for upstairs just so I don’t have to carry it up and down, although it isn’t a problem because it isn’t too heavy (throwing shade at you Kirby)

Greater than one weekIm adding to the previous review. Ive now had this sweeper 1 year, 10 months. The sweeper is still doing its job well, but I have had to replace two parts. 2 months ago I had to replace the extension wand, something in it that supplies the power to the sweeper head (floor nozzle) went bad. It was a $30 fix. Today, my replacement floor nozzle arrived. I noticed in the last month that the power fins completely wore down, and a few days ago the beater bar stopped spinning entirely. Replacement past was $90. Please note that I have a large house and sweep both bare and carpeted floors on a daily basis, so it is definitely getting a workout. I still have no regrets about buying this sweeper. Previous review: Ive had this sweeper for over a year now. It does what its supposed to do. However its hard to use on stairs because the hose isnt that long or flexible. This is my 2nd Shark. Kids broke the first one. I havent been disappointed in the brand yet.

> 3 dayShark AZ2002 Vertex Powered Lift-Away: I have only had this vacuum for a few weeks and can only give my opinion based on 3 or 4 uses. I have two other vacuums that I am using for my comparison, a Hoover (constant overheating after years of use) and a Dyson (old & heavy). First off, I am a 66 years young man, and do the whole house vacuuming as my wife is not able. The unit was shipped USPS and in the stock box. It arrived in a timely manner but was severely damaged for carless handling by our USPS during shipping. While the box was a mess and I feared for the contents, I only found a couple dents in the main tube of the unit (see pics). However, the vacuum seems to be working fine. The Shark AZ2002 SUCKS… and I mean it has more suction for cleaning than any vacuum I have ever used. The controls are at the handle including the power switch. This is much better when you get used to it, like when using it as a wand having the power switch right there is great. At first, I did not think it did a good job on the carpet, but after changing and finding the best setting it does a fine job of getting the carpet groomed and doghair free. We have a Border Collie mix and a somewhat shorter haired mixed breed. As advertised, I have had NO dog hair at all wrapped around either roller (perfect). Couple things could be better… the “Large Dust Cup” is too small, especially if you have dogs. But the performance outweighs this inconvenience. The vacuum air powered “Pet Power Brush” is a joke. Stops spinning as soon as it encounters any surface (totally useless). I guess I will have to buy the electrically powered brush…maybe. This cost you a star. The position of the front roller lets you get really close to things and is appreciated. On our tiled areas this unit gets all the grit and doghair up and gone… even from the sides. The exhaust from the motor is in the front. I thought this was odd but after using it on the tiled areas, I realized that because the whole unit tips back when in use, the exhaust is out of the way, and I no longer have to chase doghair around the tiled areas like the other vacuums. On carpet, you have to get used to it wanting to run away forward and drag resistance pulling it back. But you get used to it and can really see the carpet is clean and groomed well on the drag-back stroke of your cleaning. The AZ2002 is not cheap, but I have to say, overall, it is by far the best vacuum I’ve ever been forced to use…LOL (pun at my wife). Highly recommended.

> 3 dayI have completely ditched the broom. This vacuum is anything and everything I need it to be! Well worth the price. And it pulls up so much dust and dog hair that my rugs look and feel clean again.

> 3 dayGreat suction power. Does great on carpets and hard surface floors. It is a little heavy. Motor over heats and will shut the unit off temporarily which I don’t like. The dust container detaches easy but is a little wonky when re-attaching. The odor blocking technology is just and replaceable air freshener like you would put in your car. The new roller fins are better than the old brush rollers and haven’t tangled so far. Just curious tho if the rubber fins will hold up or tear after a while.

> 3 dayMy old Shark APEX had a malfunctioning powerhead after two years of extremely heavy pet home use. I loved it and it would suck up small children if they got in the way! Couldnt get a new powerhead due to supply issues and really needed another vacuum in our three dog household. I decided on a new model, the Shark SRATOS, which was supposed to be as powerful and comparable to my old APEX. Pros: Its not quite as heavy as my old APEX. Hair doesnt get stuck in the brushroll, so the self cleaning brushroll description is accurate. It has a very long cord which makes it easier to vacuum large spaces without unplugging and replugging. It came with a separate pet hair head for the removable hose (which I never have used). The Odor Neutralizing feature was okay, though other reviewers reported they couldnt get replacement cartridges. (I havent tried to order a new one yet) Cons: Out of the box I could tell it was not as high quality, even though it was a bit pricier than my old one. Its lighter weight, feels plasticy, and more cheaply made (the removable suction wand is starting to not click back in to the vacuum after 3 months of use). It doesnt suck up small items like gravel, popcorn kernels, pet food, wood chips (or children) like the APEX does. And while, as advertised, the rubber brushroll doesnt collect pet hair, somehow it gets stuck between the front of the vacuum and the plush brushroll which never happened on my old APEX. All in all, I do like it and would recommend it but if I hadnt owned an older (by only two years) model Shark this one wouldve gotten 5 stars instead of 4.

> 3 dayHonest review, it’s been 3 months since I purchased this vacuum. Best decision ever, it picks up everything on my carpet upstairs and it’s super easy to clean. I’d recommend this product.
