> 3 dayWe have older carpet in our apartment and this sucker pulled the nap right up. Incredible! Not to mention the dust and hair it collect. Great value of the money! Vacuuming is actually kind of fun fighting those dust demons!

Greater than one weekThis is a first impression review based on features and a first use to vacuum my whole house. Pros: The suction is absolutely amazing. It almost sticks to the floor when vacuuming a low height area rug. The swivel feature is great for reaching under furniture. Its lightweight but still very powerful.[[ The detach feature and the arm are convenient and lightweight. Cons: The upholstery attachment doesnt have a hard attachment to the suction arm. It just sort of wiggles into place but because the suction of the vacuum is so good, the upholstery attachment pops off easily. I had to hold it into place with my free hand as I was vacuuming my couch. That was rather disappointing since vacuuming my couch was a big reason why I bought this vacuum. It accomplishes that goal but is not as easy as I would have hoped. Maybe in time I will figure out a way to do it easier? No other cons, really...

> 3 dayI like this little vacuum. It is the first upright I have owned, I always had canisters. The reason it has only 4 stars is that emptying the bag-less canister is yucky. See below. I thought I’d list pros and cons. It generally works very well. PROs It really sucks (in a good way). Very powerful suction. Especially great if you have dogs that shed out an undercoat. It has a detachable hose with tools that lets you clean in crevices or under furniture. Or if you REALLY need major suction you can use the hose. The hose is a little short, but it is convenient. It is compact. We tended to keep out canister vacuum in the living room because we used it every day. It was ugly and took up a lot of space. This one fits in a corner and doesn’t take up much space. I like that it sits upright and doesn’t fall over when I want to stop it for a second. I like the twisting head which really does make it easy to maneuver. A switch that turns it on for floors only or for carpet is convenient. CONs The main thing that is bad is emptying the plastic waste container. There are a lot of very fine particles. I have to empty it outside and into a used plastic shopping bag. You really don’t want to breath the dust in, you might even want to wear a respirator mask. Also, the dog hair gets stuck way up in the container, where the middle is blocked by the round hose connection, and it is very hard to get out. I have to use a thin twig to coax the clumps of hair out. I find this annoying. Did I mention that there is a lot of super fine dirt/dust? It is heavy to push and pull. Of course, I am used to a canister, so if you are used to an upright it might not seem heavy to you. The power cord is shorter than my old vacuum so I have to re-plug it in all the time as I move around the house. You have to hold the power cord up out of the way so you don’t vacuum over it. You experienced upright users might not have a problem with this. I don’t know yet about the filters. The Shark brand filters are very expensive, especially the HEPA filter, so I bought non-Shark branded filters. I don’t know how they are going to work. I try to wash out the stock filters pretty frequently so they don’t get too gummed up. Since they have to dry for 24 hours after washing them it might be convenient to have an extra set that you alternate with. UPDATE June 2021: So the hose on this vacuum is a piece of junk. If you try to use it to clean crevasses or furniture by unhooking the top part, the hose just cracks after a couple of months. It breaks even if I am being very careful (which I have been). I have had to buy TWO replacements to the tune of $40 each. I would not buy this vacuum again. Between this piece of junk hose and the huge amounts of fine dust that accumulates in the receptacle that you have to get exposed to, it is better to get something else.

01-12-2024First of all, I am reviewing the Shark NV360 Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe Upright of my own accord, not for any incentives. Just a good old fashioned, honest review. We have had many vacuums over the years, from Bissell, Hoover, Eureka and yes, even the over-priced, over-hyped Dyson (which was a huge disappointment and lasted 2 years before the ball didnt rotate and lost suction). I initially ordered another Eureka, thinking that the vacuum industry has gone downhill, and we are forced to buy the cheap plastic machines that last 2 years then need to buy another. I tried the Eureka and it was absolutely horrid - returned and began another search. I called a friend of mine who recommended the Shark. I bought this one, the NV360. It arrived in 3 days and I tried it immediately. Long story short, my Daughter and I were fighting over who was going to vacuum the next room in the house! LOL!!! The oriental rugs were changing back to their bright colors, the carpet was standing up again, leaving vacuum trails, we had to empty the container 5 times due to the amount of gunk this beautiful machine was collecting that had not been cleaned up from our last vacuum!!! It was a beautiful moment! If you have been in the same situation, thinking there is no more awesome vacuums left in this world, never fear! BUY THIS THING NOW!!!! :) You will thank me later!

Greater than one weekI am a huge fan of Shark vacuums. I also have a very expensive Miele canister vac, and I have to say the Shark is easier to use and has just as good (if not better) suction as the expensive Miele. Mieles are also notorious for having short cords, which are a real pain in the neck. I had been using the Shark Navigator NV70 for the last ten years (it was a goldish-tan color), and I loved that vacuum. After 10 years of service, it just stopped sucking one day. I didnt even notice that it had lost suction until I vacuumed my cream, bedroom rug and 5 minutes later I found my long, dark brown hair everywhere. I tried new filters. I washed out the canister. But alas, Shark, know to his friends as Sharkie, was no more. So, I decided to upgrade on my new vacuum to a Shark with the lift away feature. I have been using the Shark NV360 for over a month, and I really love it. Assembly was a breeze, and boy does this thing have a lot of suction. After my first trip around the house, I had to empty the canister twice. The NV360 is a beautiful navy blue color, and it does come with a crevice tool and red, felt lined upholstery tool. I did go ahead and spend a few bucks at the Shark website to get an accessory package with a longer crevice tool and a brush head attachment, which I prefer to the upholstery tool. The lift away feature is easy to use. Sometimes the release buttons/latches that you need to press to release the lift away can be a little tight, and you need to press the button while wiggling the vacuum to get the lift away to release. In comparison to my old Shark NV70, the NV360 is much lighter with a wider vacuum head. The NV70 was built so tough that it felt like a truck could run over it, and it would be fine. The NV360 is lighter which makes chores easier, but you also lose that great, sturdy, feeling that the NV70 had. The NV360 feels a little like a toy vacuum in comparison to the NV70. The NV70 also had a longer cord - maybe 5 feet longer. But, the lift away technology and wider brush head do make up for the shorter cord. My only real complaint is that the NV360 is so light that it can easily fall over. That is a problem when you are trying to reach that last little bit of whatever with the extension wand and then BOOM. The NV360 has its weight near the back of the vacuum, so it tends to fall backward rather than on its side like the NV70. That caused a dent in my coffee table, but now I know that I really have to move the vacuum to a closer outlet when using the attachment wand. Overall, this is a great vacuum with great suction at a fair price. I do miss the sturdy feel of the NV70, but for anyone looking for a lightweight vacuum with excellent suction, this is your solution.

> 3 dayThis is a great, powerful vacuum. It cleans up most detritus at one pass and is great for wall-to-wall carpet areas or spaces covered by heavy area rugs. It is, however, pretty heavy, and the powerful suction means that it takes a little muscle to move it across the carpet. It would not be ideal for a space with lighter weight rugs because the tilt feature is pretty low to the ground, so if you want to hold the end with your foot and sweep one way to the end of a rug, then tilt, roll back, and bring the vacuum back up the rug again (no contact so the rug wont be pulled up), this involves bending way down. If you want a powerful vacuum with a large capacity canister, this is the vacuum for you. If you want a vacuum thats lightweight and moves easily across your pile carpet, look at some of the other highly rated Shark models. Think, too, about whether you want a disposable bag or a canister. Theoretically, canisters can fill to capacity. In reality, after youve done a room or two, the suction diminishes, and you need to dump out what youve collected. Bags have the disadvantage of seeming to run out just when companys coming, but they do hold a lot more and allow you to vacuum for weeks without changing if you dont have pets(!)

Greater than one weekI had two other vacuums Ive been using, thinking they were doing the job. My daughter took one and I wanted a better one for pet hair. I got this thing, ran it JUST in my living room and got enough hair to build another cat. I ran it again, filled to the line. Ran it AGAIN and still more dirt and lint and stuff came up. Good Lord. I cannot believe what that thing pulled up. All the while thinking I had BEEN vacuuming. This thing is a wonder. I am elderly and very petite and had no problem assembling it, pushing it and I love the swivel action. Highly recommend!

> 3 daySo I first bought this back in February 2020. It worked like a beast until November 2022, when it took an accidental tumble down my stairs and the hose literally split and popped beyond repair. I was sad. So I bought a new one, which was much harder to find, but find one I did! I kept the old ones canister and attachments to have extras on hand. Now for my review: It is the best vacuum Ive owned that gets up pet hair. I have one double-coated dog and three cats that seem to never stop shedding. It has excellent suction and picks up more than any other vacuum Ive owned. Its still kind of bulky clunky when detaching to clean stairs, but it still works - you just have to put in effort. The con of this vacuum other than not being invincible against stair tumbling - its so top heavy that it rarely will stand up by itself like most upright vacuums. It just falls over - while you are vacuuming with the hose and while storing it. I have to lean it in my cleaning closet so it doesnt fall over. Thats my only complaint with it.

> 3 dayIm honestly blown away. This is my first time buying a shark and it is crazy good. I have 3 kids, two of them toddlers, a husband, and a puppy which means constant messes. This makes my carpet look so clean. The suction is so strong that when I was using liftaway to vacuum the stairs it took effort to move the hose across the floor. Im in love and if your house is borderline hoarder mode like mine with the constant messes, this is what you NEED!
